Hello everyone! Thank you for buying the game, trying out the demo, and for all the wishlists and feedback! So, what will become of this fun little game? Will it get lost in the depths of Steam? Nope, while it's true that I'm working on other things and games, I intend to keep this game alive and updated over time, to bring it to an even greater form. At the moment, I have 3 updates planned. If all goes well, the updates should be released roughly 3-4 months apart. The first update, "Sins of Friendship", will include: - Secret bosses - Improved menu aesthetics - New Easter Eggs - New songs - New endings - New side quests - New type of QTE in battles - New map - New enemies - New languages to play the game in - A relationship system between characters - Over 10 new images The main feature, and what gives the update its name, is clearly the friendship system between characters. This secondary system will allow you to deepen your bonds with party members, improve battle stats, and add about 1-2 hours of gameplay, offering new bosses and story paths as well. If everything goes according to plans, the update will be released around December-January.
The game is finally published. It has been a long journey, since I started drafting stuff 2 years ago, and started development 9 months ago. The engine I chose was probably not the best (since I was not able to do many of the things I wished), and added to the fact that for the future, I'll develop smaller games, are the reasons why I'll move to Godot. Probably. Me making other games, is not exactly set in stone. Regarding the future of Fading [strike]Echoes[/strike] Voices, I'll release new content updates in the future, which will be free, since I don't really believe in this "Buy the game and spend ten times more in DLCs". I'll release a roadmap in the future. Also, the game doesn't have particular protection against piracy, because it would be pointless, and I have pirated a lot of stuff, so...fair. But at least I tried to prevent it with low price. The past months have been challenging, both in the making of this game, and in private life, so I'm a little burn-out, which is why probably future content will come out in months. So, lastly, I want to thank everyone that has been with me during this journey, in private life, in liking a post, in wishlisting, playing and you, the person who reads this stuff. - Since keeping the Shift button gave problems, the Charge QTE was removed, the attacks now can only be avoidedby pressing Shift at the right moment.

- Solved a bug: when fighting story boss and the player loses, the pre-fight image, would be shown over the Game Over sequence.
- Fixed the dialogue boxes in the underground tunnels not representing the items given to the player.
- Fixed the player being teleported in front of the wrong building when exiting The Seafarer's Haven in Koin.
- Fixed the presence of meteorological effects, such as raining, appearing inside buildings.
- The button to press to avoid hits from the enemies was changed, to avoid the very noticeable issue off characters still jumping when pressing the button.

I had in mind more stuff for this update, but I had to rush it a bit to make it come out with the Steam festival, I'll work for publishing a 0.7.5 or 0.8 as soon as possible, hopefully around next week. The rushed bit will probably be more obvious with the NPCs, since maybe Silika and the Royal Mirage will feel empty. The skill reworking is going smoothly, the synergic and elemental skills are all completed, I've started working on enemy-exclusive skills, making the combat feel more alive, the enemy won't just use normal attacks and magic, at least. I improved a couple of Steam Resources, and improved the Demo too.

It took longer than I anticipated to put this Update out, but it's finally here, even if it needs a bit of tweaking, it was supposed to arrive for the sale, but it took more time than expected and I had to cut a bit of stuff, but it's all something that will arrive with the next update. Also, in the next update I'll add the missing mechanics, so the game will finally enter it's final stage. The next update, the 0.7, is supposed to go live around the end of the month.

It's been a month since the last update, I had to solve a couple of personal things, and worked on the game, which I can confidently say it will be completed around half July. And I can also confidently say the 0.6 Update will come out on June 9.
In this Update, I did a Visual Update on a couple of things I didn't liked, bringing them to a finished version, such as the Battle HUD, and added other mechanics and minigame, such as Row Formation and Dice and Coin, even if the Player can't play them right now.
The Demo has also been updated with more content, if you want to check the game out before buying.

At the end the 0.3.5 update, ended up becoming the 0.4 update.
I was supposed to add just a couple of stuff and the main focus would have been the main story, but I ended up adding nearly every main mechanic of the game, such as Battle QTEs, Pre-Emptive Strikes, Lightning Effects, Meteorological Effects, Pixel Movement, Difficulty Slider, 3 "Minigames" and also Steam Achivements.
So, let's jump on the new content, since we have a lot to talk about!

- Individual Battle Statistics are now visible in the Status Page in the men
- Improved the Overworld UI HUD, with the HP and MP colors changed to be more visible in the night and the Money tab resized to not take much space
- Added a Message Option Speed in the Option men
- Added a basic fishing QTE, with the creation of pixel art images and fish item
- Added Lighting Effects that cycle during the day
- Added Discord Integration, it will now show the game in your discord profile when you're playing it

- Added Defense QTEs, now when the enemies perform an attack, you'll be able to do a QTE, and by doing it correctly, you'll be able to dodge the enemy attack and the damage related to it
- Created Pixel Art for the Battle QTE
- Added the Name of the enemies over the Enemy Encounters on Map
- Revamped the shop men, making it more good-looking and useful to the player
- Created a in-game Help File, accessible by pressing F1
- Improved the Armors
- Added the remaining characters to the intro in the title screen
- Added a Credits Scene to the title screen
- Fixed the position of title commands
- Made using Guard better, now it heals a larger percentage of HP and MP, and it's not so fast that the character turns comes right after using it, which made using the Guard pointless

- Started a reworking of characters abilities, including in all of them QTEs, and also improved Gerald abilities, making him more useful in battle

Yeah, it passed a bit since actual Easter. Anyway.
This is an update with major focus on tweaking the game, with tweaks to the battle system and more custom assets, which will replace the RPG Maker stuff, but I'm sure you can still find enjoyment from it, with the Blackjack minigame and the new areas and side quests. The Demo will also be updated in the next few days as well, with only the bug fixes, battle tweaks and the custom visuals updates, while the story etc. will stay the same
The next update, the 0.4, will instead have a major focus on adding story, areas and side quests, while still adding a couple of twists to the gameplay, with new minigames and mechanics.
It will be a major game's update. And since it will probably take a lot of time to complete it, I will probably update the game piece by piece, with for example a "0.3.5 Update".
Also, as I'm just a single indie dev, I thank you for everything, I didn't expected so many people to actually like the game, I had many doubts about this game. Thank you for everything and I hope you enjoy what comes next.

I'm working on the next update for the game, the 0.3 update, and if everything goes for the right way, both in the development and betatesting departments, it should come out around mid April.
