STORY
This is a story about a group of very ordinary girls.Two thousand years ago, the Pestis Disaster swept through the land, corrupting all living things and making it to difficult to live on the land. For those that still wish to live on this dead land, a temple was established. It was known as Saint Sheol of the Underworld.
With the help of a distant relative, I moved to the capital that I had longed to live in, and began work as a trainee priest at Saint Sheol.
Every day I endured pain and suffering in this unfamiliar land. On one particular day, when I was in truly dire straits, an angel appeared before me in my dreams. “Don’t worry,” she gently whispered. It was truly a vision that seemed impossible. I knew the face of that angel.
Before the looming disaster stood 6 girls. Within the deepest corner of the temple was fear, miracles, love… and lust.
Having touched the darkest darkness the world has seen, one must now face the dazzling light.
Thus I pose this question.

We\'re pleased to announce that HAPPY SAIN SHEOL version 1.3.0 is now live on Steam and should be pushed out to users.
As announced back on Halloween Day this year, this long awaited updated adds a long list of fixes and updates to both game content and the overall user experience.
Scenario Updates
A number of scenes have been more fleshed out to fix the overall flow of the story

HAPPY SAIN SHEOL version 1.3.0 is coming to Steam this November. A list of all updates and changes will be forthcoming in the next news post once the update has been pushed to Steam.
Not to spoil too much right now but the update will include CG fixes and a number of minor bug fixes. That is all we can say for right now. The team is hard at work implementing the new update so stay tuned!
Post-Halloween Sale

1.1.2 Patch Update
There will be a major update coming up very soon. Here's a brief list of updates coming:
- Updated, new scenario text
- Steam achievements support
- Various bug fixes as reported by users since release
Regarding the updated scenario files, the developer felt that certain scenes weren't properly fleshed out enough and additional scenario text will be added to some of those scenes. Since this new content that wasn't there before, it will take a bit of time for our localization team to go over and get to work on. Nevertheless, we're hopeful this update will be available to users in the coming weeks.

The second point is important because of an issue stemming from users who previously purchased the game on Booth. Both builds used the same save data folder which caused unintended issues when having save data from the Booth version and then playing the Steam version.
To avoid any further issues, the save data folder in AppData was renamed to something unique to avoid further issues. For affected users, it may be necessary to delete the existing save data and persistent file before starting a new game. In most standard installations, the specific folder can be found here:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy
Everyone else should be able to proceed through the game without issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
Upcoming Updates
Steam Achievements are scheduled to be implemented in a future update. In addition, the staff roll will be updated to include everyone involved with the localization of HAPPY SAIN SHEOL. Steam cards are also in the planning stages to be added to the game.
We're pleased to announce that the HAPPY SAIN SHEOL demo now available on Steam! While the game itself didn't make it in time for a 2023 release, users can still get a taste of what's to come in this demo. There are still some bugs that need to be fixed so check back for more updates in the near future.
