A lot of time has passed since the beginning of development, and since it is a dynamic process, it was not without changes in the already implemented mechanics or the failure and subsequent sawing out of mechanics. We will talk about such mechanics now.
1. Cut out the mechanics of rewinding time forward
Previously, levels were supposed to have multiple time triggers. That is, triggers that only activated at certain times. Which resulted in the player constantly having to wait when restarting the level. This problem was realized and partially solved by adding a new mechanic - fast-forwarding time in any safe zones. Now the level design has changed and it was decided to get rid of most of these time triggers. After that this mechanic became simply unnecessary.
2. Cut out the mechanics of opening the door by watching in-game ads
This mechanic was relevant when the game was not yet planned to be released on Steam. Back then, we were only thinking about releasing it on Google Play. After we realized that the game was starting to get more complex and become more like a desktop game, we changed and cut out all the mobile features.
3. Changed the mechanics of changing into enemy uniforms
Originally it was supposed to be possible to kill any enemy, take off his clothes and dress up in them. But later it turned out that this is not what we would like to see in the final score. As a result, this mechanic was changed. It was added 3 to
