Welcome to our brand-new Dev Diary!

Hello there, Steam folks! Were newcomers here on Steam, and it feels only right to introduce ourselves properly. Welcome to our brand-new Dev Diary, where well take you behind the scenes of our visual novel development adventure! Ill keep the tech jargon to a minimum and try to make this a fun, bite-sized update about what were working on. My names UberPie and Im the lead (and, uh, only - cue dramatic violin music) artist and creative director on the project. Weve been crafting this story-driven epic for over seven years, releasing 27 consecutive updates along the way, and building a pretty solid community. Now, its one of the biggest adult visual novels out there - maybe even the biggest, though I wont brag (too much). Over the years, weve gained tons of experience, and were finally ready to leap Steam! Were reworking all those 27 updates from scratch, updating the art, expanding the story, and enriching the world of Taffy Tales. Weve decided to package everything into three massive seasons. With your support, we aim to wrap up this arc and (fingers crossed) keep the story rolling forward after that. For now, this is just the first season, and let me tell you - its big. We couldnt cram all the spicy hardcore content in right away because, hey, good storytelling requires a proper buildup! But dont worry, theres plenty to enjoy, and things are only going to get hotter as we move forward.

Our team (tiny but mighty)

Were working with a small but scrappy crew for such a colossal project. Heres the lineup: UberPie (me!) - artist, creative director, and your friendly Dev Diary narrator. One programmer - my "partner-in-crime" since day one, whos been through fire and brimstone with me. Two phenomenal writers - They breathe life into the world and characters of Taffy Tales. One animator - our secret weapon, whos worked on past updates and will be crucial in overhauling the upcoming seasons. Thats it - just five people tackling a massive, sprawling game. Honestly, its been a wild ride, but we wouldnt have it any other way.

The road ahead

Thanks to the momentum we gained on SubscriberStar last year, were shifting into high gear. Well be posting updates on Steam (if you dont see us, make sure adult content is enabled in your Steam settings) and staying active here. That said, you can still follow our Dev Diaries on SubscriberStar, which will feature exclusive content for our supporters. The scope of the project has grown significantly thanks to all the goals weve hit, which means weve expanded the story, added more animations, and fine-tuned the code to accommodate new features. Honestly, were loving it - it gives us the freedom to make the game exactly how we envision it. And yes, that means more details, more polish, and more moments you lovely perverts are sure to enjoy.

Our content strategy

Given the games scale, were taking a cautious approach to sharing media and trailers. We dont want to spoil the fun or show content thats still in progress, so well be releasing sneak peeks gradually. Ive got some awesome ideas for how to spotlight our waifus, and I think youre gonna love it. Thats all for now! My small but mighty team and I have been working on this project for years, and now we're giving it a full-on makeover - new art, revamped story, and tons of fresh content. What you're about to experience is just the first season. We’ve already made significant progress on seasons two and three, and trust me, we’re not slowing down!
