Hello! DESOPE's Steam page is finally (properly) manifested. Thank you for checking this out!
If things go smoothly a demo is expected to come out this summer (because it feels thematically just right to do so). It will cover the introductory part of the visual novel, showing you a glimpse of the story and a better look into the world only seen by Kado.
By the way, DESOPE appeared in the Whodunnit section of The Storyteller's Festival 2025 run by Two and a Half Studios alongside hundreds of other quality narrative games!
It lasts until next week, so if you're into story-focused games and looking for some titles to indulge yourself with, check it out because they're crazy good.

Story
August 2038—another summer is yet to end.
It's been a while since Natsue Kado worked as an (unofficial) assistant for Eleanor, a picky detective who ran his own agency. So, isn't it about time for Natsue to finally take a case?
The chance came through an anonymous call requesting them to look into the true nature of a local ghost story, the spectre in the haar. Neither myth busting nor ghost chasing are their specialty, but it doesn't sound complicated—surely it can't be that difficult, right?
About
desope is a visual novel style, text adventure game. To keep progressing the story, player will control the main character by selecting choices and collecting clues scattered in the town through searching and conversing with other townsfolk.
Various circumstances—such as failing investigation, dying and learning things that shouldn't be known—will require Kado to narratively wind back at the expense of mental state, which could affect Kado's behavior upon reaching certain level of distress.
