Been a while :) I have been busy working on Seeker of the Ruins, so stay tuned for that, and be sure to check it out and try the demo. However, it doesn't mean Cryptic Escape will be forgotten! So in honor if the Winter sale here is a small but significant update

- Reworked the dungeon creation so no more: Random floor tiles, blocked off areas, odd walls

Hello everyone! A short day after launch and already a few bugs have been reported, glad to say they are all fixed :) Hope exploration has been kind on all of you, and good luck in future attempts!

Todays update bring a bunch of new features and changes in anticipation for the Steam Next Fest (Im abit late but dont tell anyone). Cant wait for next week full release! Reminder for everyone to feel free leaving feedback over at the discord, cant wait to hear what you think of todays update.

Almost a week has passed since the demo's release, and with it ton of feedback! I have worked hard to adjust and update the game accordingly and I hope to live up to the expectations! Todays update brings a major change to how the compass works, and some minor changes/additions. Remember the best way to leave feedback is in the discord or here, the steam forums. Can't wait to hear what you think of the new compass!

I'm really excited to announce the demo of Cryptic Escape is now out and available for download!
After half a year of hard work I finally believe the game is in a good enough state to be released, even if it's only a demo. I'm really looking forward to any and all feedback you may have in order to make the full release as best and smooth as possible! Best way to give feedback is to join the discord
Be sure to try it out as the demo will be available only until the full release of the game
So what do you do in Cryptic Escape? You must navigate your way through random dungeons, find treasure, hope to live another day, and use the treasure to upgrade yourself.

Cryptic Escape is a difficult rougelike dungeon explore where your goal is to recover as much treasure as possible, and find your way out, without any of the monsters catching you. Lucky for you, you can buy upgrades to help your chances, and find special potions in the dungeon itself to make your journey easier.

Navigate your way through the dungeon, featuring procedurally generated unique and different floors, each harder, with different monsters who are determined to not let you out, and not let your recover any treasure. But beware, if you are careful enough, and silent enough you just might just get by unnoticed.

Make yourself better using the treasure you retriieved in order to become stronger, faster, more durable, and harder for the monsters to notice & catch. Making it easier to get more treasure! Which options will you choose? Stealth, hoping for less monsters to sense you? Or maybe Scavanger, hoping to find some more treasure?

But you better watch out! Remember the monsters are searching for you, they don't want their treasures taken. You better not let the any of them catch and stop you from getting back what's rightfully yours! They will try to make your journey more difficult using their different traps and skills, so good luck avoiding them.
