Hello there! I've just pushed a small fix live that corrects a few more typos noted by the community. Nothing else major. I hope everyone's been enjoying the quality of life updates that came in the previous update courtesy of Crushed!
Hello! A fairly significant update today. First of all:
Several location tag transitions have been fixed. This was a minor issue, but I'm sure a few of you noticed the wipe effect sometimes leaving the tag underneath. This happened when the tag switch command was placed before any dissolve commands, putting them in conflict. Now things should look a lot smoother!
Patreon credits should now work properly and are fully up to date. Thank you for all your support.
Now I'm going to hand it over to Crushed, who cooked up some really exciting post-launch QoL changes.
---
This patch has a number of small but (probably) helpful quality-of-life improvements for readers.
UX UpdatesChapter Select
Readers can now unlock chapters as they read through Misericorde Volume Two! If you've already finished reading, then nothing should change for you.
If you're still reading when you update, then this should unlock the Chapter Select option on the main screen as soon as you hit the next chapter's title screen. (ie, if you are currently reading Chapter 5, then upon hitting the title screen for Chapter 6, the Chapter Select option will be unlocked with Chapters 1 through 6 available.)
Gallery
The Censorship toggle will now affect thumbnails in the gallery (all thumbnails were previously censored by design), for anyone bothered by 10 pixel high censor bars.
Music
The music player now has a visible progress bar and time information. (note: sadly, you currently cannot use the bar to scrub through the song. Maybe some day!)
General
Readers can now exit out of the Chapter Select, Gallery, and Music screens by hitting Escape (on keyboard) or the B or Start equivalents (on gamepad) no more having to manually hit the Return button.
Keyboard users can now press the F5 and F9 keys to quick-save and quick-load, respectively, like a proper civilized video game. Hedwig will never fail a pickpocket check again.......
Thanks again for reading Misericorde and all of your support. Feel free to continue to report any bugs, typos, etc. using the Steam discussion forum or by contacting us on social media.

Thank you everyone for playing Misericorde Volume Two! I do hope you have been enjoying it and that it's been a fun way to ring in the new year.
I've just pushed another small update live that corrects a few minor issues:
Corrected several typos and small errors throughout (I'm sure there will be more to find!)
Corrected an issue where the a box appeared twice in 'Heritage Site'.
Brigid will no longer create shadow duplicates of herself in 'Godgifu'.
It wasn't long ago that the Mother Superior dragged her out of her cell, forcing Hedwig to break her oath to God as an Anchoress and face the outside world. Acting as a spy for the leader of Linbarrow Abbey, Hedwig was given one seemingly simple task: Discover who really murdered Sister Catherine.
Hedwig has tried her best, but she is no closer to solving the mystery. Things just keep getting more and more complicated: Why can't any of the Sisters give her a straight answer about what happened the night of the murder? Who--or what--is the mysterious figure that haunts the abbey? And just who was Sister Catherine?
In White Wool & Snow, Sister Hedwig must steel herself. Time is running out, and so is sympathy for her situation. It's understandable that being thrust into the waking world after a life of quiet reflection as an anchoress would require some adjustment, but if Hedwig wants to save an innocent man she will have to get serious fast. Can she navigate increasingly difficult social situations, maintain her cover, and make the progress the Superior demands?
White Wool & Snow is a kinetic visual novel.
