Hello everyone! After months of hard work on this new concept, Im thrilled to release the Emberfall demojust in time for the Steam Next Fest!

What to expect in the demo:

Fully compatible and playable on the Steam Deck (use the "scout" launcher option, not Proton).
Some upgrades are available in the shop to help you start stronger!
Two exclusive achievements can be unlocked only in the demo!
20+ different upgrades to experiment with.
10+ different enemies to fight against.
One map is available, but there are multiple ways to find your escape!
Steam Input integrationshould work with any controller!
Steam Cloud support (shared with the full game), so your progress will carry over to the full game.

Whats next?

I plan to launch Emberfall in Early Access so I can continue improving the game with your feedback and ideas! Heres whats in the works:

different maps
more monsters, especially those that can shoot at you
more features to unlock, that let you progress in the map
new type of attacks, including ranged attacks
new AOE abilities
a boss system (havent tested it yet, but I think it could work!).
collectibles and chests to discover
Co-op mode that you could play with a friend on a special map!

Emberfall is the first Roguevania-Survivor: an action-platformer blending roguelite, Metroidvania, and survivor elements.

Navigate the treacherous catacombs of the fallen citadel 'Lemia,' brimming with danger and mystery, and escape within 10 minutes—or face eternal doom.

Emberfall puts you in control of Kali, who defeated the God of Greed and the Goddess of Light. Now, the gods have failed, and the citadel will collapse.

Tough and fast, with snappy controls and endless challenges.

Enjoy an idling-combat system and focus on finding your way out while dodging enemies and sharpening your skills.

You must unlock certain skills to progress. Like a Metroidvania but without complexe progression and worldmap. Just enjoy short runs: Play, Die, Learn, Repeat.

The game offers a simple Roguelite system.

Purchase upgrades across your runs to become more powerful for the next runs.

Starting Tips from the dev:

Experience points are collected automatically, so don’t be afraid to run away from monsters.
Watch your attack gauge and aim for packs of monsters; your attacks are all area-effective.
At the beginning, increase your attack speed or unlock new offensive spells rather than focusing on damage.
Spending your money in the shop will help with early game in future runs.
