- 25+ programming puzzles - many are easy to solve, difficult to optimize
- See how your solutions stack up against your friends' or globally on the leaderboards for each of run-time, lines of code, and cost of components
- Solving puzzles unlocks new puzzles and 7 different chips to use in only future puzzles - when you first open a puzzle, you will always have all of the same tools available as anyone else you see on the leaderboard
- Make use of a unique fictional computing device where all communication is done by broadcasting to radio channels, and all conditional operators test values broadcast from other chips
- Integrated debugger, syntax checking, and quick language reference
- Full reference manual
- Solitaire minigame, like all good Zach-likes
- DRM-free
- \n
- Fix formatting issue with multi-line channel labels on some chips (bug credit: LongingForRest)\n
- \n
- Allow pressing Stop one additional time after stopping to clear the output from the previous run (for peace of mind)\n
- Fix title in PDF version of manual\n
- Fix typo in Oscillilator description (bug credit: SpiritualShampoo)\n
- \n
- Fix CLI error when running from a folder with spaces in the name (bug credit: MannyKlystron)\n
QuantumPulse 2A now includes a command-line interface for playing puzzles and running programs, running on MS-DOS 3.30 or newer (including Windows, Linux, and MacOS).\n\nTo use the command-line interface, run please see README.TXT to get started. You can use the command-line interface for editor integrations, automated testing, or retro-computing just for the fun of it!\n\nI had a lot of fun porting the CLI to DOS, and have detailed the journey on my blog . Please check it out if you find that kind of thing interesting =).\n\nFull patch notes:\n
- \n
- Add command-line interface QP2ACLI.EXE that runs on MS-DOS and modern Windows\n
- Add command-line interface CLI/QP2A.JS that can be run via Node.js or jSH on any operating system\n
- Add README.TXT detailing the CLI, and MANUAL.TXT, an ASCII-text only version of the manual for use in your favorite terminal-based operating systems\n
- \n
- Fix puzzle #26 (
Mastermind
) guess validator returning the incorrect value in some cases -
if guessing a right number in the wrong place, and that number was present in all 2 other locations, it would erroneously result in a count of 2 \"right number in the wrong place\" in the return. E.g. if the secret is \"2 3 3\" a guess of \"3 1 1\" was returning \"0 2\" but should return \"0 1\", which is what it does now.
(bug credit: MannyKlystron)\n
- \n
- Change the HTML version of the manual to remember the scroll position when re-opening it\n
- Improve tutorial text introducing radio broadcasting to clarify that chips continue broadcasting until a 0 is written (bug credit: davidus)\n
- \n
- Fix additional graphics options not being properly saved to user/device-settings.json\n
- \n
- Add FPS limit choices to the Options screen\n
- Display the FPS when the Options screen is open\n
- Fix \"Next Puzzle\" button incorrectly being enabled on the last puzzle\n
- \n
- Fix poor performance on some high refresh rate or g-sync enabled monitors on NVIDIA cards (bug credit: dis and buddy)\n
Minor tweaks from the demo / beta:\n
- \n
- Updated manual with references to new features\n
- Removed the \"Private Beta Version\" notice (bug credit: julemand101)\n
We\'re excited to announce that the full version of QuantumPulse 2A is now available here on Steam! A special shout-out and thanks to our beta testers, without whom the game would not be what it is today. If you want some tough competition, want to discuss puzzle solutions, or have some feedback to share, please join our Discord , or post on the Steam community discussions .
For those of you who played the Demo, as long as it\'s still installed and Steam Cloud has synced your saves locally, the first time you launch the full version it\'ll prompt you to automatically migrate your solutions if you wish (some people may prefer to re-do the \"easy\" puzzles to get back into the flow of things though =). And, don\'t worry, if you don\'t do the automatic migration, you can always easily copy solutions between versions by clicking the \"Open Save Folder\" button in the options screen and copying files around.
