Swingmania is a note slicing VR rhythm game focused at competitive ranked play, customizability, ultra high performance and cats!
Interactable Cat
The game will feature a cat that walks around and you can interact with. Honestly this is the real main selling point of the game
Multiple note types
The game features multiple types of notes, including
Directional notes which have to be hit in the right direction
Any direction notes which can be hit in any direction
Notes can be colored to indicate which hand you must use to slice them, or they can be rainbow notes that can be hit with either hand
Mines that must be avoided
Walls that you must avoid with your head
Multiple scoring modes
Compete on Rhythm or Aim leaderboards;
Scoring can be based on either timing like in traditional rhythm games, or aim accuracy.
The angle of your swings also has an impact, turning the game into a real workout.
Wide range of built in maps
The base game includes lots of songs with maps ranging from very easy "true accuracy" maps to nightmare challenge and 688 bpm "vibro"
Earn Delicious PP and climb the ranks
The game includes an advanced built in ranked system that lets you see where you stand in the world. Compete to become the #1 swingmania player, or see how far you can make it on the ranked ladder.
Playing ranked maps, such as the built in maps, will award you Performance Points (PP) based on the maps difficulty and your score. The bigger your PP is, the higher your global rank will be!
Raise your Challenge Level
Some maps in the game are extremely difficult or contain truly unhinged, game mechanic abusing patterns. These maps have a Challenge Level number associated with them. Passing maps in each challenge level in successive order will increase your Challenge Level displayed on your player profile.

Optimization at the Core
We are building this game on a brand new, fully custom game engine with one goal:
To be the most optimized VR game ever made. We are going to extreme lengths no-one else has to ensure the game never drops a single frame during hours of gameplay. The code path for every single frame and situation has been meticulously designed to avoid frame time spikes, and multiple CPU cores are utilized in a smart way.
The game is currently in development, more details TBD. Many features mentioned here are work in progress. Information on this store page is subject to change.
-the game now uses the vr runtime recommended rendering resolution for eye views, previously this was hardcoded to 2048x2048x per eye for testing and prototyping reasons. you might notice lower performance after this update if you have set your rendering resolution higher than this in your runtime, but it\'s now also possible to increase performance further by reducing the resolution on lower end hardware.\n-nowindow launch option no longer renders the desktop camera behind the scenes meaning this option can be used for more performance gains on lower end hardware. Also nowindow no longer shows a frozen window on the desktop on Windows, instead the window is now actually not shown\n-adjusted rainbow note hitbox\n-re-worded intro license panel to be a bit better\n-added intro panel about data usage\n-added delay before intro panel buttons are enabled to prevent people from insta skipping all the intro information\n-added new song: Aviators by OSVLD & HYPERSPVCE
