So yeah. I think its fixed now. Apparently, steam had its own int32 type that did not take well to being casted to something similar I really hope the highscore issues is fixed now. If not, go to your AppData/Local/AlienFury/Logs folder and show me any logs pertaining to highscores. Highscore list is reset again sorry Some fun AlienFury facts: - Based on old arcade machine called Space Zap. Hence the quarter swallowing difficulty. - Missile speed is based on your screen size, so you wont get an advantage playing on a larger screen. - Developed for Steam Deck primarily, where its great fun. - Was a test of my cross platform SkullForge game engine, hence the first achievement. - SkullForge is old news, working on SkullForge next gen, using Vulkan exclusively for very effective rendering. - Both SkullForge engines includes an entire 3D engine, even though Alien Fury is 2D. - Press Y to disable the CRT filter on the screen. I'm old, so loved the old school CRT monitor effect
In light of the reset highscore bug fix, I have reset the highscore list! Now go get that Space King achievement!
Fixes the following issues: - Highscore could get way larger than actual score. - You can now enter the highscore, without beating the highest score first ;) This should allow for a more fair and dynamic highscore list :) Regards Odin
So first... let me say many thanks for all the nice comments ;) Fixes: There was a tiny bug, where large highscores, where not shown in their entirity, from upper right text ingame. Also boosted boss attack music, as well as stopped caching steam profile pictures, as sometimes you get a ?. Regards Odin
"From the vast dark, the aliens have come! There is no hope of survival! But if you must go, you go fighting!"
Fight a hopeless battle against an attacking alien race. There is no hope of victory, only to take as many enemies down with you, as you can!
Alien Fury is an arcade space shooter that gets progressively harder, the longer you play.
It's a simple a matter of shooting the alien missiles, before they hit you.
How long can you survive?
It was made for the Steam Deck, but is highly playable on desktop as well.
It's also a showcase of my homemade SkullForge game engine, and it's coded 100% in C++.
Enjoy!
