Greetings.
I will use this post to present myself, as well as give a bit of context for this game and its situation, regarding maintenance and updates.
I am Alex, I did a few GameJams in the past and worked as a software engineer. I was able to take a bit over a year to focus on personal projects, and spent nearly all of it making this game. Models, textures, the music ... unless said otherwise in the credits, it's made by me, using opensource software and tools.
I will have to return to full time employment, therefore my time investment in the game will be greatly reduced. I will do my best to push bug fixes and patches for bugs that are reported via the support, and I am not abandoning this project.
I hope you get some fun out of Hepatomancy, or at least tell me how it should have been better.
Thank you for reading, have a great day!
Hepatomancy is a FPS roguelike. Delve deep in an ever shifting temple complex. Learn the esoteric secrets of the ruins and their inhabitants, and do your best to reach the inner-most chamber.
RANDOMLY GENERATED FLOORS
Familiar, yet always different, the only sure way is down. Navigate the connected rooms of the cursed temple, stumble through generated levels, discover new areas and reveal ancient secrets.
A STRANGE PATH
While the way down is very obvious, it is perhaps not the only one, or even the best one. The temple is full of secrets, and some artifacts might just lead you somewhere new.
