Mini Nuke gameplay prerelease testing now available in Staging Beta branch.

We have released the first iteration of mini nuke gameplay to the staging beta branch for pre release testing. Join us in helping test it and offer feedback on the new game mode and report any issues you might have. We welcome all feedback on it, what do you like, what do you not, etc. How to Join To join the beta branch testing, click on Mechanized Corps: Rebirth in your steam library and then click the cog wheel on the right side and go to properties. On the popup click on betas tab and change the drop down from None to Staging. The game will then update to the new version 0.2.3.000. Patch 0.2.3.000 Notes:

  • New game mode Mini Nuke. A nuke drops in the map and you have to grab the nuke before anyone else and take it to the base of the enemy and detonate it. If a nuke is deployed at your base you have to disarm it before it detonates.
  • Sector 7 now has mini nuke gameplay mode available in Instant Action and Multiplayer.
  • AI now knows how to play mini nuke gameplay.
  • Number of respawns now defaults to 3 on all game modes.
  • Fixed a few bugs with tree destruction so weapon interaction with trees works better now.
  • You can drop the nuke by pressing N (default key)
  • Foilage/Trees was updated on Sector 7.

Dev Update Mini Nuke Game Mode Incoming!

Hey everyone, Its been a while since our last update, so we wanted to share some exciting development news with you!

New Game Mode: Mini Nuke


Weve been working hard on a brand-new gameplay mode called Mini Nuke. The core game type is now complete, and the AI is fully functionalbut its still a bit buggy. Were actively refining things and plan to release it to a larger group soon. Before the full release, well likely make it available on a pre-launch beta branch. If youre interested in helping test it, this will be your chance to jump in early and share your feedback!

How It Works


In the first version of Mini Nuke, each team will have one deploy site.
  • When the match begins, a nuke spawns in the center of the map with a visible indicator icon.
  • A player can pick up the nuke by walking over it. The nuke is stored in their mech, and their indicator changes to show theyre carrying it.
  • Their name and distance indicator remain red or green, so teammates and enemies can still identify them at a glance.
  • The player carrying the nuke will also see a HUD icon above their weapons display indicating the nuke is equipped.
  • A new deploy indicator will appear, pointing to the enemys deploy pad.

Deploying & Disarming the Nuke


  • Walk over the enemy deploy pad with the nuke to arm it.
  • A detonation countdown will appear at the top of everyone's HUD.
  • Your team must defend the nuke, while the enemy team tries to disarm it.
To disarm the nuke:
  • Walk onto the deploy site and stand still.
  • A "Disarm" message will appear below the countdown.
  • Stay on the pad until both messages disappear this means the nuke has been disarmed and picked up by your team.
  • Now you can carry the nuke and attempt a deployment at the enemy base.
If the nuke carrier is destroyed, the nuke is dropped and can be picked up by anyone.

Win Conditions


You can win the match in one of two ways:
  • Successfully deploy the nuke at the enemy base, triggering a nuclear explosion.
  • Eliminate the entire enemy team.
To emphasize the objective, the default number of respawns is now set to 3.

Play Solo or Online


This mode is fully playable in:
  • Instant Action vs. AI
  • Multiplayer vs. players or a mix of players and AI

Mechanized Corps: Rebirth 0.2.2.009 hot fix is live!

We found some issues with chat and loading missions from a user report that turned out had their friends list offline. So this patch addresses the issue. Changes listed below:

Change Log


  • Fixed an issue where steam friends being offline would break the game and not allow you to load into any matches.
  • Fixed an issue where steam friends being offline would stop global chat working.
  • Fixed an issue where steam being offline would prevent the full initialization of the game causing chat to not work and fail to load missions. If you have steam offline you will not contribute towards achievements but everything else should function now.

Mechanized Corps: Rebirth 0.2.2.008 has been released!

This patch focuses around some UI/Chat changes and bug fixes that are meant to make the menus easier to use as well as see when others are online better. Using these new changes, we hope players will be able to find MP games easier with others playing. Change log for this patch is listed below. Patch 0.2.2.008 Notes: * Change main menu to have Single Player option and moved campaign and instant action under it so its clear that campaign and Instant action are single player content * Multiplayer now defaults to 7 bots max now like Instant Action. * Global chat now stays connected, your name changes to have -ingame when you go into a game and you now emote what you are doing when loading into a match/test range/etc. * Added a new easier join screen for multiplayer instead of requiring the use of server list. Server list is still available if you prefer the old way. * Fixed a bug where the global chat and in match chats had the input limited to 45 characters. * Fixed a bug where the bottom chat line was cut off in global chat once it started scrolling. * Fixed the global chat user popup to read better when over news.

The hotfix patch 0.2.2.005 has been released. This patch addresses some issues seen yesterday in multiplayer with credits not being recorded and various networking issues. If you still experience the same problems and this patch did not fix them please let us know on the forums or on discord.

Mechanized Corps: Rebirth Demo updated to version 0.2.2.004!

The final update before the full release of the game is now available. The Demo has been updated to 0.2.2.004 which will be the full release version tomorrow March 11th.

Change log for 0.2.2.004:


  • Updated the main menu music to a different track.
  • Updated in game score teams UI.
  • You now get feed back on login failure and calls to the servers can now retry up to 3 times if a call fails to prevent you from losing credits or XP. Valid Login is now required to play.
  • You can no longer edit default stock MCs.
  • Changed text references of Configuration to MC.
  • Fix for a bug where projectiles could stop working correctly on test range
  • Fixed lots of issues that show up in the logs.
  • Removed continue button for the clients on end game screen and replaced with Waiting for Host text since host moves everyone back to lobby.

Mechanized Corps: Rebirth Demo updated to version 0.2.2.003!

As we ramp up for the release of Mechanized Corps: Rebirth on March 11th, we have released patch 0.2.2.003. This release has significant changes to the AI as well as some bug fixes. Full change log below.

Change log


  • Upgraded AI system to a newer version of our internal system to allow for adding new AI features easier.
  • Upgraded AI to perform better at a basic level.
  • Updating home target to be slightly above cockpit and reduced size of rocket explosions to cut down on homing rockets blinding you in first person mode.
  • Added a photo sensitivity warning since it can get intense being shot in cockpit mode.
  • Removed reference to steam cloud in save text since we no longer use it.
  • Fixed a pathing issue where AI could get stuck sometimes on the door going out of spawn bays on non sector 7 maps.
  • Added extra AI bot pilots and squads.
  • Fixed a bug where if you self destructed more than once before exploding it would count it as multiple deaths.
  • Fixed issue where AI would stop sometimes.
  • Updated AI to use Countermeasures if they have them equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where spectator cam would clip on the mech it's following.

Mechanized warfare is reborn! Welcome to Mechanized Corps: Rebirth. Set in the critically acclaimed Dark Horizons Universe, this reimagining of Max Gaming's 2016 action shooter,  Dark Horizons Mechanized Corps, follows the success of 2024's tabletop wargame.

THE SETTING

The year is 2361. Three hundred years have passed since Cold War rivalries culminated in nuclear war. Humankind has expanded beyond the Earth, colonized the SOL system, colossal space stations hang in orbit, and Mars has claimed independence. Governments and corporations now struggle to control the system's natural resources and giant walking war machines, collectively known as Mechanized Corps (MCs).

The SOL system is in relative peace, with Factions (Nations, Corporations, Mercenaries, and Trade guilds) settling differences in minor skirmishes or arena-style battles.  How long will this peace last and degrade back to massive battles?

GAMEPLAY

Players take control of these Mechanized Corp units, armed to the teeth with Gatling guns, missiles, lasers, and more. Fight offline or online and earn credits to improve your machine with more powerful weapons, flight systems, shields, cloaking devices, and orbital bombardments.

Fighting for their faction or taking up arms as corporate mercenaries, MCs currently fight in large combat zones in the squad-on-squad challenges to head off all-out war.

Mechanized Corps (MCs)

Select from four classes: Scout, Infantry, Heavy, and Assault, with four different chassis.

Each MC is fully customizable, with engines, jump jets, and dozens of weapons and equipment choices. You can also apply custom paint jobs to stand out from the crowd or blend in with your squadmates.

Tailor your MC to fit your play style, choose your battlefield role, and build the most lethal machine. Destroy the opposing team before the clock runs out!

  • Instant Action (play offline with AI-driven squad mates versus AI enemies)

  • Multi-player (fight online with friends against AI opponents or take on other players head to head in online arenas.

  • Manage your pilot (review stats and change faction allegiances)

  • Squad Management (Create or Join a Squad for online gameplay)

  • MC Hanger (Select your chassis, edit it, buy a new chassis, and create your ultimate machine of war!)

  • Campaign missions are not currently available.
