Steam achievements were not working properly, so theyve been temporarily disabled while I work on fixing them.

A bug caused by an incorrect file name prevented the game from launching from Steam on Linux and SteamOS. This has now been fixed.

Looking ahead to 2026, Im currently working on version 3.0, which will include:

A refreshed interface

Fixes for VSync issues on high refresh rate monitors

A fully fixed achievements system

General bug fixes and polish

Important: when updating to version 2.0.0, your current game files will be replaced.\nIf you want to keep your old saves, make sure to back them up by copying the entire Toni Island Adventure folder to a safe place on your PC before updating.

And theres more: you can now skip the main story if you prefer. That way, anyone who just wants to explore the islands extra content without restarting the whole game can jump right in! To do this, simply open the PataPhone menu, move the cursor to the center button (just below the display), and quickly press +A.

Toni Island Adventure is part of the Steam Autumn Sale, running from September 29 to October 6, with 40% off. The perfect chance to explore Salamino Island in this brand new version!

Were pleased to inform you that version 2.0 will be released in the next couple of weeks. This update comes with new features, improvements, bug fixes, AND much-awaited Steam Achievements support. But before it goes live, we want to give you a quick heads-up.

Important: updating to version 2.0 will override your current game files.

If you want to keep your existing saves, make sure to back them up.\nJust copy the entire Toni Island Adventure folder to a safe spot on your PC.\n

Good news for explorers too: if you dont feel like starting the main story over, version 2.0 includes a new option to skip it. Youll be able to jump right into the extra content and explore the island freely.

Important Save File Warning:

Due to memory limitations from the Game Boy hardware, save files from version 1.0 will not work properly in version 1.1. If you want to keep your save or continue playing the original version, please back up your save file somewhere outside of the Steam folder before the update goes live (08/06).

Known Issues (Engine-related):

These issues come from the game engine and not from the game itself, but were doing our best to improve them.

What\'s Next?

This patch should cover most of the important issues. We dont plan to release frequent updates, but we will release a new patch if a major bug is found or something threatens player progress.\n\nWere also planning to add Steam achievements to the game. Since this requires some low-level programming work, it may arrive after this patch. That said, this addition wont affect your save file, as it doesnt involve changes to the game data itself.

Hey everyone!

Weve just released a brand new version of the Toni Island Adventure demo and its packed with exciting updates!

The game now runs on a Godot-based engine, which significantly reduces file size and should offer better performance on PC. This update also expands your journey beyond the Pawssport checkpoint you'll now be able to explore Pomodorino Woods and venture up to Mt. Stracciatella, home of the mysterious Oracle.

Back in Bauport, a new building has appeared: the Community Museum, ready to be filled with the rarest gems and fish you can find later in game. And yes, the PawPhone is now fully functional, so you can make calls a feature previously unavailable!

Weve also addressed various bugs, fixed typos, and added small improvements throughout the game.

We hope you enjoy re-visiting Salamino Island one last time before the official launch [strike]which is very close and should be announced soon[/strike]

• Adjustments in the Ancient Ruins of BauBau: It is no longer possible to get stuck, either accidentally or intentionally, on the rocks.
• Reset of 'sokoban' puzzles: Now, when pressing 'start', the player will return to the beginning of the challenge.
• NPC in the Ruins: The lost NPC now provides clear explanations on how to reset the puzzles if the player gets stuck.
• Improved inventory performance: Considerable reduction in response time, providing a smoother experience.
• Correction of typos: Minor errors have been fixed to improve text clarity.
