Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out Lecture Me Later. During the Steam Next Fest I participated in, I got a lot of interest from many different countries, which helped me continue thinking about plans for the future.
So I'll share with you all some of my future plans here. Nothing is set in stone, but these are my plans.
**I just want to start off by saying that this is only a typical GxB kind of otome game, and I have no plans to change this and expand from that with pronoun options. Thank you for understanding.
Future plans for 2025-2026/27
Update Vahn's model and animations for the final time, make him closer resemble a Filipino male, give him better/more movement and expressions, etc. (for demo update and beyond)
Fix the game's FPS!! (for me personally, it runs at around 12-20 FPS, which is terrible!) (for demo update and beyond)
Include CGs
To be able to have engaging CGs, you'll be given the option to choose between a few preset MC options (she'll have a Live2D model in the bottom left corner, and will appear in CGs.) (also this one isn't set in stone. Comment below your interest level in this, scale of 1-5)
Localization (game text)
I've seen the most interest in the game from the following countries: China, Brazil, Japan, and Russia.
Some of the future updates to the demo will include text options in: Chinese (Traditional & Simplified), Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, and I'd also like to include Filipino/Tagalog and Cebuano since Vahn is Filipino.
The future demo update with these languages will only include machine translated text. Hiring folks for localization will come later (see below.)
Localization (voice acting)
As of now, my plans for the full game's release will be to have voice acting in English, Tagalog and Possibly Japanese. (Comment below if you want me to consider other languages for voice.)
DLC
I have an idea for a short DLC that I won't go too much into, but you'll be able to romance ??? in it. Also, the localization (voice and text) will apply to this too.
Crowdfunding/ General Funding
I don't plan on running a large Kickstarter campaign. Instead, I'll follow the examples of a couple other fellow indies and use Ko-fi goals instead. I'll also start livestreaming some of my processes, and I also have a Patreon. It is mainly for my reaction content, but I do have a Producer tier over there where you'd get access to all content I make, as well as have voting power AND your name will appear in the credits of any upcoming finished game as long as your subscribed for a certain period of time and production is still active.
My plan is to start working towards these funding goals by September or October 2025, and have all the funding needed to pay voice actors, language experts/editors/scriptwriters, as well as myself (misc. production costs, Marketing, partially keeping a roof over my head,) between January 2026 and May 2026. Once I've researched more and speak to people about rates, I'll have an estimated goal to work towards.
Release
I can't give a clear answer for this. I'd expect, with the added workload of matching voices to lines, ensuring all localized text is in the proper places, and creating more Live2D models and now illustrations, it would take me to last quarter 2026, or first quarter 2027, but this is just speculation.
Cost
What will the full release and subsequent DLC cost?
Base game, if everything falls flat and I can't get enough funding for voice actors, and I exclude customization: $7.99 (sale price $4.99) (these prices may get localized to better suit different region's currency)
Full base game: $11.99 ($9.99 sale price) (these prices may get localized to better suit different region's currency)
DLC (for ??? and maybe even Vahn): $5.99 (sale price $3.99) (these prices may get localized to better suit different region's currency)

With the light of the setting sun on your skin, you engage in conversation with the popular young man, realizing that things are taking a very scandalous turn, and that his interests are far more fascinating than you'd originally think.
Lecture Me Later is an otome/visual novel with a single love interest set in a University setting. Chat with Vahn and see what kind of freaky interesting things he's into.
Name the (female) MC. Depending on your choices, Vahn may 'say' her name.
A unique 2.5D visual novel experience. A relaxing (as relaxing as classrooms can be...) 3D environment with a nice 2D character to chat with.
An animated and expressive love interest thanks to Live2D Cubism. Vahn has some very... interesting expressions, with more to come in the full release.
