When approaching old age, most are freed and granted enough wealth to live easily the rest of their days in the realms above. That being said, their position remains one of subservience and dark elves will always regard them at best as a beloved pet. All slaves are expected, but never forced, to perform sexual service for their mistresses. It is customary for a young dark elf to receive a maid as a present once her first sexual urges start to manifest. Satisfying the whims of a dark elf maid is generally considered beneath her older sister or mother, hence the need for personal sex-slaves.
