KAUNA is a Finnish boomer shooter made with 90's retro style graphics.
In this game, you find yourself enjoying a peaceful summer evening at your cottage when suddenly a portal appears from the depths of the lake, ruining your plans. Now, instead of relaxing, you must deal with demonic forces that have invaded your cottage.
Your mission: reclaim your evening and get back to enjoying that sauna!
Fight your way through the underworld and get rid of the demons who dare to disrupt your peaceful life!

Hello!
Development of KAUNA is progressing well, and Id like to share some highlights from the past few months.
This is the first devlogtype post, and I hope it gives you insight into how KAUNA evolves.
A big thanks to everyone who has wishlisted the gameyour support means the world to me!
That said, here are some of the features I want to share:
Car
The game will feature a fully drivable car and driving levels where you can run over hordes of enemies. You get a short ride at the beginning of the game. Later, the car is stolen by demons, and your mission is to retrieve it while fighting your way through the Underworld.

Keybindings menu
I spent a lot of time getting the keybindings menu to work, and it was definitely worth it. It makes the game much more accessible.

Custom skyboxes and more detailed levels
I\'ve added several new custom skyboxes and increased level detail to give the world a more polished feel.

New enemy: Tuonela Acolyte
A new melee enemy that also has rangedspellcasting and archer variants. These zombielike cultists appear later in the game.

What next?
My next big milestone is to release a demo on Steam. That will involve polishing mechanics and levels, as well as completing several unfinished areas over the coming months.
A new trailer is also in progress, so you can expect it to drop sometime soon!
