Features :

  • Added a tutorial! auto plays first time player enters a map and starts a game

  • Added modifiers! endless: game goes on forever, frail: you only have one health, perfect: a single wrong keystroke ends the run

  • Added difficulty selection! from 50 to 500. Influences enemy word length, spawns, speed, ability usage, etc.

  • pickup: damage doubles damage dealt from typing

  • pickup: experience doubles all experience and gathers automatically on first pickup

  • pickup: health heals you by 3

  • pickup: letter reduces all enemy words by one letter. If the enemy has a 4 letter word, it dies

  • pickup: loot open it for a bunch of upgrades!

Typing Tales playtest is now live on steam!


The tale begins! I'm excited to share with everyone that the Typing Tales Playtest is now live!

How To Access

  • Hit the "Request Access" button on the steam page
  • You can now download from your steam library and play!
  • Don't forget to give your feedback in the official discord

What is the Playtest

  • A pre-alpha look at the game
  • You'll get to try out the main gameplay and give feedback on it through the Discord Server
  • An opportunity to shape the game's development through the community
  • Sneak peeks at future updates
  • Minimal content as the focus right now is on gameplay
