Blast your way through wave after wave of asteroids and enemy spaceships, break away at bricks until you reveal the beautiful night sky, or defend Earth from an alien invasion in an adrenaline-pumping battle!
CHALLENGE YOURSELF OLD SCHOOL
Enjoy a challenging collection of arcade classics, all remade in a friendly pixelated art style and a beautiful soundtrack. Try to best your highscore and get all the achievements.
The games start easy but become quite challenging as you progress. Everything becomes faster, enemies become more aggressive, and powerups and extra lives more rare.
Astro Impact
Fight off wave after wave of asteroids and enemy ships with one of 3 spaceships available to you, all with different abilities. With each wave the number of asteroids increases and the enemies become more aggressive, making you work harder and harder.
Pick one of 3 ships before you go into action:
Brick Smash
Colorful bricks are covering the night sky and it's up to you to destroy them so the citizens can get a clear view of the beautiful stars. Use either of the 2 distinct paddles and balls, and combine them and their capabilities to get as far as you can. Watch out for exploding bricks and try to avoid the nasty reverse control "powerup". Mind you; as you progress things get faster.
Select a loadout of paddle and ball to help you destroy the bricks:
Alien Assault
The aliens are invading, and it's up to you to stop them! Take control of your tank and defend Earth against waves of alien attackers. Will you choose the agile tank, capable of quick dodges and fast attacks, or the slower one with a stronger cannon? As you progress, the invaders become faster and more challenging, pushing your reflexes to the limit.
Pick one of 2 tanks for defending Earth:
Have fun blasting through asteroids, crushing bricks, and saving Earth from alien invasions in this tiny arcade collection!
This patch brings a few small fixes:

[/*]Updated Unity libraries to keep the game current
[/*]
As always, thanks to anyone and all who've played
Arcade Classics is now fully playable on Linux!
Tested on Ubuntu 24.04, the game runs smooth just like on Windows and macOS.

The game engine has been updated to Unity 6, improving performance and stability, and preparing the game for future patches and additions.
This patch fixes the following issues:
- General fix for Steam overlay activation properly pausing the game. Activating the Steam overlay would in some cases not pause the game for up to 2 seconds. This is no longer an issue.
- Occasional crashes late in the game (wave 8 and onwards) due to improper handling of particle effects, causing memory overload. Particle effects are now properly handledso you can keep blasting asteroids without interruptions!
- The ball getting stuck bouncing between the edges of the screen or paddle for too long. Instead of waiting for 6 hits to change the angle ("unstuck" the ball), the ball will now adjust after just 3 edge/paddle hitsmaking the gameplay faster. You can still use the boost function at any time to get "unstuck," but if you don't want to, it happens faster now.
What's Next? NinjaThea 2 is Coming!
Get ready for NinjaThea 2, a classic 2D platformer where you help Thea, a small yet fearless ninja girl, reclaim her stolen diamonds and fruits! The critters are back for revenge, and only Thea can stop them.

This patch fixes a bug where usernames longer than 20 characters would cause the leaderboard text to break, disrupting the display.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
This patch fixes the following issues:
Astro Impact:
- RNG bug causing asteroids to occasionally spawn in a set pattern, which also affected supply satellite spawning.
- Highscore save bug that would some times overwrite an existing highscore with a lower score. This issue did not affect the global leaderboard, only the local save file.
This update adds a subtle nostalgic CRT visual mode, and an upgraded lighting package to improve visuals. In addition, issue with inconsistent framerate is fixed.
- Framerate capped @60hz to handle choppy framerate and ensure smoother, more consistent gameplay.
- Added a CRT visual mode for a bit of nostalgia, adding an old-school vibe to the game.
- Upgraded the Unity lighting package for better lighting. The lighting is discreet but significantly improved.
I hope these updates make the game better for you
This patch fixes a respawn bug in Alien Assault where players could, under certain circumstances, respawn during the Game Over screen.
Additionally, it includes a few minor UI tweaks.
This patch adjusts the requirements for a few achievements to make them less of a chore. Hopefully, more players can now unlock these without getting too bored.
Astro Impact:
- Red Rampage, Blue Breakthrough and Green Gain: Now you only need to reach wave 4 with each, down from 5.
- Night Sky Knight: Requirement changed to reach level 6, previously 8.
"Alien Assault" brings a fresh wave of nostalgia mixed with new challenges to the Arcade Classics collection. Choose your tank and take on waves of aliens with a variety of weapons and power-ups.
This addition also brings 9 new achievements, from leveling up your tank to having a large arsenal of missiles and shields, each achievement offers a unique challenge that rewards your gaming prowess.
Go for a new high score, unlock all achievements, and save Earth from the alien onslaught. Good luck

Regarding the next game and its inspiration
If anyone shoud be interested in the next title, Alien Assault, the progress will be documented in the Game Design Document .
Just like the other games already made, all the assets, including artwork, music, code, and other elements, will be created entirely from scratch. While the gameplay is inspired by and reminiscent of the original, my intention is to add a unique touch with distinctive art style, music, and mechanics. Using the original names for the existing games upon release was unfortunate and, in retrospect, amateurish. I've renamed the existing games and provided a clearer description of their original inspirations in the main menu, ensuring there is no confusion moving forward. Rest assured the games are still the same (with the added powerups from this patch).
To the few who have played this game, and even fewer who bother reading this: thank you so much and have a great summer
Development is going ahead well and the new power ups for Astro Impact and Brick Smash are being tested. These will release by end of July 2023.

Relive the excitement and challenge of classic games inspired by the likes of Asteroids and Breakout, recreated with authentic gameplay and fresh new visuals and music.
Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the arcade scene, Arcade Classics offers hours of fun and challenge. Go for a new high score or attempt to get all the achievements!
The release build is ready and the final changes from the playtest feedback are implemented, including:
- Astro Impact (Asteroids): Enemy homing missile speed tweaked, added slight randomness to chase speed and turn speed.
- Brick Smash (Breakout): Reverse paddle "powerup" is now timed (temporary) and wears out after a certain period, reverting the controls to normal. The time it lasts increases for every level, starting at 30 sec and increasing as you progress through the levels.
Unfortunately, the new items asked for during playtest are not ready to implement for release, but will be added asap after. I'm hoping to properly implement these and release them by end of August this year. The new items are:
- Astro Impact (Asteroids):
[list] - Weapon upgrade Homing missiles
- Speed upgrade (permanent) Increases movement speed of the ship
- Infinite boost (temporary) Use your boost as much as you want (lasts for 30 sec)
