Against all odds, STREET DOG LEGEND has sold over 100 copies! We are stunned, to say the least. We weren't even sure if we'd sell TEN! You see, we're kind of bad at this "marketing" thing that is meant to make "products" "successful."

We developed the game in 3 months and, although we had tons of ideas left, didn't want to burn ourselves out with something no one would ever play. As it turns out... lots of people are playing - silly us!
So now, I'm excited to say that STREET DOG LEGEND will continue receiving updates for the foreseeable future. The first of which will come in a few weeks, update 1.1! Here's a little preview:

The biggest feature of 1.1 will be an "Explore" option added to the map, with 5 unique spots to visit in New Frankfurt!

The Bistro will feature 2 drinks that modify work days (great for speedrunners!) and 4 rotating "regulars" you may recognize from your work days. Strike up a conversation with them, and get to know them better the more you talk to them.

The Bodega has 4 slots of rotating items, all of which can modify your work day. Squirt sauces faster, increase customer patience, and earn more money! It's the perfect way to start the morning before doggin. Plus, the shopkeeper might have some interesting things to say.

The New Frankfurt Stock Exchange is open for business! Invest in leading hot dog industries and strengthen your portfolio for maximum gains (whatever that means).

At the Gym, you can play 3 unique minigames to strengthen Tony's energy. Not only can you compete for high scores, but you can "level up" your ability to explore more spots per day!
Wow, you want more? Okay...
While we have lots planned, we are prioritizing "Explore" mode because we have noticed some players earning TONS of cash. Many of these new locations give you the opportunity to dump all that cash, but they also give you the opportunity to earn WAY more than is reasonable in a typical playthrough.
To compensate, we'll be adding a cosmetics magazine that lets you re-decorate / re-stylize your apartment. These upgrades will be expensive and purely optional. We'll have more to share on this at a later date.

Big shoutout to KinzyKenzie for being the first to collect every achievement the game has to offer, and for being the first to speedrun multiple categories of the game. Not only did she set up the speedrun page, but she currently holds the world record in most categories. That's freaking awesome!

Here's some new accessibility changes:
Added a pickle icon to the relish bottles to help people with Red/Green colorblindness distinguish between them better
Increased the contrast to grilled buns & "special" hot dogs
And here's some additional hotfix notes:
Fixed the "Order Failure" sound playing at the end of each day
Compressed more textures to lessen the VRAM load and hopefully address the rare lag issue we've seen on some streams of the game
Adjusted the difficulty of EPIC STICK FIGHT, it is now slightly easier (but still epic)
Added a CTA for steam reviews after quitting to main menu (this reminder can be disabled)
Added a main menu button for the discord server
One final request: We've seen one instance of the main menu hot dog going absolutely crazy. So far this seems very, very rare, but if anyone else encounters the issue, please use the "Bug Report" button in the options menu, and let us know what your computer's specs are and if there are any steps to recreate the issue. Thank you!
We've had a big influx of new players and new wishlists overnight - another special thanks to all you legends out there :D Another big thanks goes out to @itswill for trying out the game on his Twitch stream, and to @jcubed100 for making our first ever YouTube playthrough! This hotfix addresses some pretty spoiler heavy stuff that affected some gameplay and story progression. Notes below: Fixed issue where Start Menu music wouldn't loop. Yippie! Fixed issue where contracts would mistakenly auto-complete after serving any following customer a "special" hot dog Fixed issue where savescumming before a work day started would trigger the work timer in the apartment Fixed issue where game would save past the gala, which was never intended. Continuing on previous saves past day 29 may result in bugs, I recommend starting a new game on either Story or Freeplay mode if you wish to keep playing! Fixed typos for some dialogue and a clue in a secret area Adjusted odds of "special" customers appearing, they previously appeared a little too often Implemented safety check for a frame perfect bug that involves a pack of hot dogs and closing the cabinet. If someone else encounters this issue, please submit a bug report detailing steps to recreate!

Development for the game started in February this year, and it's been a wild 4 months! This is my first Steam release, and first proper game. While I would like to say it's a groundbreaking addition to the cooking sim genre, it's more like a love letter to the flash games I grew up playing.
If you feel like chilling out, making some dogs, and laughing along the way, give the game a try! One full playthrough can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, and there's multiple endings to explore and even an additional game mode! Plus, lots of trophies / achievements to hunt, and even a speedrun mode!

Unfortunately, you're not the ultimate authority on hot dogs. Manage the expectations of city officials (and other interested parties), cooperate or disobey, and choose your own path.
All things must come to an end, and you can decide how. Will you be forgotten just like any other average joe, or will you go down in history as a legend? Which path will you choose?
