New update EA v 0.2.2

Hi all, We wanted to get you a quick "small" update out here fixing a bunch of things found in this first week of early access. We have a lot of great feedback and constructive feedback, and we are still going through it all. But we picked various issues and improvements. Improvements:
  • Allowing modders to add new units, weapons and items vs. only changing
  • Item icons; weapon icons and unit portraits are now externalized and moddable inside StreamingAssets
  • Map visuals updated
  • New unit portraits
  • Showing “no cover” indicator
  • Made more clear which NPC’s can be spoken to with speech bubble over head
  • Hire button now flashes when returning to Strategic Map for the first time
  • The game now warns you before starting a new game if you have a savegame already
  • The quest log under the map can now be scrolled
  • Not hitting objects that are too close when missing a shot (e.g. crate right in front of merc)
  • Rotated the minimap 45 degrees, to make navigation more intuitive (WIP - deactivated enlarge function)
Fixes:
  • Fixed Ferryman and Daughters Necklace quests
  • Mercs no longer stay in your squad on the map screen after they die
  • Control screen updated with proper font, also shows how to select multiple units
  • Enemy hover and right-click menu now shows the correct bonuses
  • Main menu improved for low resolutions
  • Locked down font size of dialogs
  • Removed calculation of remaining AP, as it was more confusing than helpful
  • Fixed the mouse over units when shooting to not show wrong AP
  • Fixed multiple units on the same tile bug
  • Various combat improvements
  • Dead mercs can no longer talk when clicked
  • Fixed the bug that caused the game state to not be cleared when reloading after death
  • Rolodex no longer stays active when toggling the strategic map
  • Fixed the input hotkeys to work when mouse is over UI panels
  • Fixed inventory panel to block game input when active
  • Strategic layer optimisations
  • Music should be playing correctly when all enemies are killed
  • Font updated
  • Mercs should no longer celebrate killing their allies
  • The cover lines to enemies display only for the enemies in line of sight
  • Fixed stances AP
  • Units now go out of ready mode when turn-based mode ends
  • Fixed sliding when moving with another stance
  • Headshot rules adjusted
  • Fixed the bug in the B13 sector that leads to inability to exit from it
  • Dead squad mates can now be looted
  • Portraits are now all in proper aspect ratios
  • Mercs no longer talk over of each other when rapidly selecting them
TxEditor changes:
  • Trigger editor added
  • TriggerZone editor added
  • Added empty WorkbenchScene for creating new assets
  • Fixed wrong target directory when building assetbundles
  • Added editor for setting up waypoints for animals

  • Jagged Alliance is back – and it is all about the unique mix of turn based tactics, fierce battles, squad management and crazy mercenary personalities.

    It is 1988 on the Caribbean island group of San Hermanos. A corrupt leader has the islands in his grasp ... yet a group of rebels fights for democratic values and freedom. However, once the head of the rebels is arrested, the insurgents quickly dissolve. Arriving on the island, the player’s mission is to help the rebellion before things take a turn for the worse.

    Take control of your own band of mercenaries, lead them into battle and manage your resources wisely. Fight back for freedom, sector by sector, turn by turn. Like the original Jagged Alliance series, Jagged Alliance Flashback gives you the choice to use your preferred tactics and build your squad around it – rush in with heavy armed troops or take the high road of distance shots and sniping.
