Important info about a forthcoming update that will eventually affect all owners of this game here - you can access it now or find out how this update will affect you...don't worry...it's not as drastic as it sounds :) Hi folks! Apologies about the issue just encountered with save games etc. We needed to look it over and come up with a quick solution. This announcement addresses those issues and what's in store for The Cat Lady: Version 1.6 is available, which adds Quicksave & Quickload and the ability to delete Save slots within the game Load menu. Version 1.6 and previous versions are not compatible (save games will not work between them). For now, you can opt-in to the new version by going to Library > right click The Cat Lady > Properties > Betas and chose "Teacup - Version 2". For those who want to continue to access your old saves, for now you don't need to do anything, you will be on the current default branch or you can move yourself over using the instructions above to "Susan - Version 1.5". New players may want to use Teacup branch whilst current or former players may want for now to use the default or Susan branch. HOWEVER - We will be replacing the default branch with the new version in the coming weeks. At that point, you will need to switch over to the Susan branch if you want to continue to use old save games that worked in version 1.5. This way, through the use of branches here on Steam, that version will always be available to you here on Steam, but the default branch will then become version 1.6 as we feel it's important people have access to quicksave functions etc from the start of their experience with the game here. Teacup branch is called Version 2... now that we know save games will have to break, we may as well go ahead and add autosave and fix a few other things, and call it Version 2 so that it doesn't get confused with the current versions. So apologies for the recent interuption, version 1.6 (or Version 2 work in progress you might say) IS available but remember it's not going to load old saves. It is also going to replace version 1.5 in due course, for a better experience all round, though you will still be able to access and play the current version 1.5 here via the properties > beta menu, because we understand a lot of people have old saves etc. Thank you for understanding!
