We havent updated Daisen for a while but not because weve been taking it easy. During this time, weve been preparing a set of improvements and new features that make the gameplay smoother and more enjoyable.
Daisen Interface
The interface is one of the most important aspects of Daisen. It has always been a priority on the same level as gameplay and narrative.
This update makes the UI more convenient and pleasant to use:
Shop buttons in Hub (Bloodstorm) dialogs. You can now see them directly during conversations. Prefer hotkeys instead? You can disable this feature in the interface settings.
[/*]More icons! Every weapon in the shop now has a unique icon that reflects its shot type, making the menu more visually informative and stylish.

Discord Integration
Want to casually let your friends know you\'re playing Daisen? Now you can!
Discord now displays your active game mode and in-game progress.\nFor example, during Bloodstorm, your status shows the current wave and your score.
Testing Features
Occasionally, well be adding Testing Features to experiment with new technologies or adjust certain aspects of the game.
The first one is a new shader for characters. This graphical improvement brings some elements stylistically closer to anime.

Score System & Leaderboard
Weve reworked the scoring system and updated the leaderboard.\nPlayers can no longer endlessly farm score a new score is only saved if it surpasses your previous personal best.

Yes, weve been away for a while. Some might think we forgot about our own game but thats not the case at all. All this time weve been working on Daisen: listening to your feedback, improving the feel of the game, and adding new features. And today, were finally ready to show you what weve been working on.
Bloodstorm
Training Spheres are great, but Daisen has always aimed for something more. Thats why, by the time Early Access launches, were adding a fully functional, complete Bloodstorm mode.
In short: survive earn points climb the leaderboard get currency buy items become stronger. Stonks.
This is an endless-wave mode where your goal is to survive as long as possible. After each run, you earn points that are automatically converted into in-game currency.

You can spend this currency in the shop on new weapons or lore documents that expand the world of Daisen. When you purchase new weapons, you can easily customize your loadout and build your own playstyle.

Speaking of customization: besides weapons, youll also be able to choose arenas you like. In the future, we plan to add more arenas with updates, giving you fresh experiences to explore.

Whats the point of pushing your limits if you cant brag about it? Thats why we integrated the Steam leaderboard to spark competition between players. We also want to add a friends-only leaderboard so you can see who among you is the toughest survivor.

Weapons
When talking about new content, we cant skip the main topic.
Daisen is a shooter first and foremost, so of course were adding new firepower. Two new weapons are joining the arsenal, expanding playstyles and offering more tactical options.
Scarlet
One pistol wasnt enough, so we added a powerful revolver called Scarlet. With 5 shots before overheating, its capable of taking out an enemy with a single bullet.
Tiara
Our love letter to classic shooters. This is a sniper rifle a railgun-style weapon: one shot can pierce several enemies at once. Downsides: only 3 shots before overheating and slower cooldown.

Improvements
New content is great, but weve also been polishing whats already there. Here are the key improvements:
Updated temperature warning system: now it includes both sound and visual indicators, making overheating much easier to manage.
[/*]Bloodstorm will feature difficulty modes, each with its own save data and leaderboards.
[/*]Developer Commentary: if you want to hear our thoughts, enable Developer Commentary in the settings.
[/*]Improved melee punch: works more reliably during jumps and slides, deals more damage, and grants bonus points in Bloodstorm.
[/*]Archangel got a buff to accuracy and damage its much more useful now.
[/*]Weapons in your pocket cool down faster encouraging active piano-style gameplay and smart swap timing.
[/*]Improved Ukrainian and English localizations we want the game to feel comfortable from the very first lines.

We also updated the Daisen demo, so you can try out some of the improvements right now and share your feedback on the direction were taking.

Were rolling out the very first big (or almost) update for the demo, bringing plenty of new content and fixes. Many of these improvements were made thanks to the feedback from our awesome Discord community!
Whats New:
Lumen005 and Ignis006 two brand-new levels of familiar spheres.

The core feature of the demo is the Training Spheres.\nThey are designed to test your skills and teach you the fundamentals of Daisen.
