We're back, with a new update to Death Road, and the announcement of an all new game. Read below to see plans for our next updates, wishlist the spiritual sequel to Death Road, and read a full list of changes for the PANCREAS update!

Space Dingus will feature online co-op multiplayer, more interactive toilets than ever before, mouse-aiming for sick headshots, customizable spaceships, and more than 1 enemy type (I fought against this).

We built a new engine, so that the game now supports seamless drop-in online multiplayer. We also plan extensive mod support, with Steam Workshop. During the engine switch (which a big reason as to why I've been so busy for awhile), I decided to go for a sci-fi theme as a way to refresh development, instead of the planned fantasy theme we were working on in the Anniversary teasers.
If this does well, we hope to both restart the fantasy themed take I was planning, and start on a true sequel to Death Road to Canada.
Tentative Title: Death Road 2 Canada: 2: 2WICE
Also, keep an eye out on the Official Rocketcat Discord and the announcements on the Space Dingus Steam page. We plan to announce a big surprise event in the coming months, and it will only be in those two places.
We're planning on more frequent updates again for Death Road to Canada this year. Professor Sycamore, from the modding community, is currently working on one now. He has helped with both an update in the past, and the current update is pretty much all him! I will talk more about this during the Anniversary news post, which is in about a month. See you then!
New Trader added to the trading camps! He sells 3 different weapons with unique mechanics, all involving new RELOAD mechanics:
DUCK HUNTER: A shotgun with short range, but shooting zombies has shrapnel ricochet everywhere. Additionally, reloads a shell at a time, and fires them faster as long as you don't run out completely.
DOLT BIG IRON: A pistol that fires six shots, extremely fast if you hold ATTACK down. It then takes awhile to reload. You also fire much slower if you do careful attacks, so make sure to GO NUTS.
FLIP RIFLE: A strong rifle that fires MUCH FASTER if you fire it immediately after it reloads. Use the firing indicator over your head to help you figure out the timing.
3 New Special Recruits that you can find in trader camps. They all cost 15 food:
VAN SMELT: A big game hunter whose rifle has both a headshot mechanic, and a distance bonus mechanic. Go for the LONG SHOTS and BIG HEADSHOT COMBOS. Past 20 or 30 headshots, long distance shots will explode for noticeable AOE damage.
HONCHO: A gunslinger who can dual wield ranged weapons, for double the carnage. He also has a +2 bonus to max shooting, and a no-drop dagger, for when you invariably run out of ammo completely.
POOL CHAMP: A pool player. The bar sport. He has a pool cue that is UNBREAKABLE, which isn't that impressive as it was in my head now that I've typed it. You can also TIPPER HIT zombies at the very edge of your melee distance, for a bonus.
O*P*P Mode updated for new characters.
FOR MODDERS
Trying out a new way to organize update files, so that they're more self-contained again. This should cause less problems for mods in the future.
