A new beta version for Sonar Shock is live, now using a newer engine version (Godot 4.3.).
I am looking for feedback, how this affects performance.
You can find more information here.
- New extra death sprite for the Liquidator enemy
- Added the option to disable the slow-mo effect for critical hits
- You can now access older version of Sonar Shock via the Steam 'Beta' panel
- Slight performance improvments
- Fixed some pickups floating in the air
- Smoke particles are no longer weirdly stretched
- Fixed a rare softlock in one of the endings
- New sprites for Tashinyan
- Lighter now can't get obstructed by geometry
- (Hopefully) fixed game crashing after the intro cutscene on some hardware
- Respawn the player when he manages to glitch out of bounds (introduced as a safety measure)
- Minor tweaks and typo corrections

- You now can close reading and dialogue menus by pressing "Escape".
- Buffed SMG accuracy slightly.
- Lowered cost of some PSI powers.
- Fixed some minor bugs, exploits and softlocks. Tweaked level design.
Hotfix to fix some smaller issues:
- Fixed exact health being visible without choosing the matching perk
- Fixed beserk syringe visual effect not resetting after dying or reloading
- Added particle effect to make it more obvious when healing
- Fixed endless microchips exploit on Level 2
-
Living suits of armor now don't always respawn after being killed once.
- Minor bug fixes, level design tweaks and typo corrections
- Fixes crash on Level 4
- Improves FPS when fighting multiple enemies at once
