We are a two-person indie studio based in Shanghai, China.
The Parallel series is based on our original manga created back in 2010.
Three games have already been released all exploring different urban horror stories within the same high school.

We are thrilled to announce that Weird Tales Studio: Ghost in the Pool has received a major remastered update!

This is the most significant content and system upgrade since the game's release in 2021. The main features of this update include:

Feature Enhancements

• Rebuilt the underlying framework to improve stability and fix multiple bugs
• Optimized UI experience with support for progress branch jumping, resulting in smoother overall operation
  

Story Expansion

• Significantly expanded the original storyline, filling in key clues
• Added more side quests and multiple ending branches to enhance playability and exploration
• Improved character motivations, enriching the protagonist Wang Yaru's psychological transformation and growth
  

Achievement System Online

Try to fix some known issues and improve the transition and pacing of the game.

Fix bug

The new Update is finally here.
I tried to fix most of the issues before, like the text speeds and the camera speed, etc.
Also, update the new UI to match with the "Concealed" style.
Now the game also supports Gamepad and SteamDeck Linux version
Hope you all like it. and let me know if there are still some issues with this new update.

Improved text speed
adding Italian language support

After 3 months of iteration, the final version of the Ghost in the pool is finally out.

Me and Joey trying our best to improve the experiences of the game, and hopefully, it is better than the early access version. :P

So, what are the differences in the final version compared to the early access version:

• Improved the sound balancing between the music and the SFX
• add more new sound effects to increase the mood
• adding 3 brand new stories cutscenes into the main story
• adding 100+ new interaction with more peace of information around the story and the characters
• Brand new save path system to get rid of the old save slot system, so after you finish one line of the main story you can easily switching the restarting point anywhere on the timeline.
• improved the text speed and the auto dialog waiting logic
• rework the 4 nightmares with more interesting visual and interactions
• 6 languages fully support (English, Spanish, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese)
• New " introduction page
