Announcing Our Next Game - TurnBreak

After spending almost half a decade on BioGun, now that it is complete, it is time to move on to a new project, a new beginning.

Monster Collecting and Card Battling!


TurnBreak is a game where you collect and evolve powerful Beasts to create your ideal battle deck. Each Beast Breaker has their own unique move in the form of a Card. You build your battle deck based on the Beasts in your party. The game also includes rogue-lite elements. The goal is to become a League Champion by progressing through randomized gym-style dungeons, battling opponents, discovering new Beasts, evolving them, and strategically swapping your party to build the strongest deck possible!

How Does It Work?


The core gameplay revolves around an elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors system combined with strategic Card Battles: Break your opponents Beasts to draw a card. Build up points by damaging enemy Beasts. Play cards strategically to set up a Turn Break. Once a Beast is Turn Broken, it becomes vulnerable to damage! Reduce your opponents health to zero to win and progress through the dungeon. The system is designed to be easy to learn but difficult to master, providing a depth of strategy that rewards smart play.

Final Update News

Hi everyone!


I know this might come as a surprise to many of you. However, some of you are already aware of the numerous issues I've encountered with Construct 3 (the game engine BioGun is made on) in the past, and unfortunately, they have continued to escalate at a rapid pace. Update 1.7.0.0 will be the final update for BioGun until further notice. Over the past few weeks, it has become increasingly clear that despite my best efforts, Construct 3 is unable to meet our development demands, to the point where I am unable to test bug fixes or add content. These setbacks have massively effected productivity. This update has been completed for the last several days but due to being unable to export successfully because of constant crashes I am now just getting to push it. As you can imagine, this strain prevents us from moving forward with the new content we had in mind until this is resolved by the engine creators. For the health of our team and the future of our games, we need to step back from the originally planned alternate ending DLC for the time being and pivot. Does that mean this is the end for BioGun? Absolutely NOT!!!! We're still committed to pushing forward with the Kickstarter campaign for the console port and are actively exploring other ways to navigate forward. Our future projects (besides the Kickstarter) aren't fully finalized yet, but we promise to keep you informed every step of the way. I went through and fixed up a lot of little things here and there trying to make the game as refined as its ever been. While its not perfect I have pushed the game engine as far as I can. Because of this, version 1.7.0.0 will be the final update for the game until further notice. I will divulge more details about this experince in another update.   • Holiday Update

    Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!


    Weve got a small surprise for you all. Alongside working hard on the next big content update for BioGun, set to launch in January, weve prepared a little something special for Christmas! :santa::gift: Heres whats new:

    Cheat System


    Weve added a cheat system to make the game more accessible for everyone! You can activate these cheats via the pause menu. However, please note: Enabling cheats will disable Steam Achievements for that save file, even if you turn the cheats off later.

    Performance Optimization


    Weve been working on optimizing the game to improve performance. While we havent been able to test it on a wide scale yet, weve observed a notable boost on our devices. According to our data, we've cut the games memory in half since Early Access launch with this update!

    New Achievements


    We've added a few more early game achievements to balance out the rate at which you get them. Considering many players first achievement was defeating Roo Caper :Angry_RooCaper: Loading into your file may net you some of them immediately! If youve experienced performance issues before, wed love for you to give the game another shot and let us know if these improvements make a difference.

    For those affected by a black screen when loading into your save file...


    NOT to be confused with getting a black screen when transitioning between rooms in the game. That is a seperate issue related to storage space on your device. I created a beta branch that gives access the the build of BioGun before v1.5 update. To access it, right click BioGun on Steam in your library, go to properties and then select Beta. Enter the password: BioGunPreVersion Once you do so, select the drop-down box that says none and select the beta you now have access to. BEWARE. I wont be able to fix the black screen issue so you will be stuck in this version if you want to keep playing your save file. I highly recommend starting a new file in the latest version if you want to receive future updates. I apologize for this inconvenience. I didn't anticipate issues with some save files and we didn't run into this with our playtesters before pushing the update.

    Hey everyone!, We have exciting news to share with you all! Some of you may have noticed the changes to our Steam page recentlyfresh visuals and updated details are only the beginning. Were thrilled to announce that we have fully reacquired the rights to BioGun! In other words, we no longer have a publisher. Now, every step we take with the game, from development to release plans, comes directly from us. To share this new chapter with you, weve created a roadmap highlighting what lies ahead, ensuring that our community is along for the ride every step of the way. For those of you who have supported us from Early Access through to our full release, you know its been quite a journey. Weve faced challenges that included everything from post-launch hurdles to unexpected personal setbacks, but were beyond grateful to have made it here, stronger than ever. Its truly a joy to share this renewed vision for BioGun with each of you, and were thrilled to keep building this game into something even better. First things first BioGun is officially out of maintenance mode and back in active development! You may have noticed the frequency of patches has increased and we're committed to squashing any issues that pop up along the way. Now, for the exciting part: Were working on brand-new content for all players! In the upcoming weeks and months, well be introducing an alternate ending. This version will bring back some awesome elements we initially had to cut to meet release timelines.
