Quick reflexes. Simple controls. Instant retries!
Neon Strike is a fast-paced action-puzzler where you dash, bounce, and swap colors for survival. Get the color right, you're safe. Get it wrong... instant retry!
Controls are super simple: one button to move, one to switch colors. Play with one hand on keyboard, mouse, or controller.
You start as a sphere with one color and can absorb more by colliding with other spheres. But you can only store two colors at a time. Grab a third, and the oldest one gets replaced.
To pass anything that isn’t a sphere, your active color must match. Get it wrong and you’ll explode. Watch out for other traps too!
There’s more than one way to play:
Tactical Mode
Get to the goal! Bounce, stick, and aim your way through grid-based puzzles using smart angles and color swaps.
Infinite Mode
Survive as long as you can. Things only get faster, meaner, and more chaotic.
Whether you're in for a quick session or a challenge, Neon Strike keeps it simple, vibrant, and fun to retry.
This quality of life upgrade is for long-term stability:
Upgraded game engine to Unity 6.3, to keep the game current
[/*]Removed unused packages and game assets, updated necessary libraries (e.g. for input management and localization) to optimize game build and gameplay
[/*]
Thanks to anyone who\'s playing and have a great Xmas!
Hi everyone!
This update focuses on smoother gameplay across the board, especially on Steam Deck. The game launches cleanly, runs better, and keeps all text fully readable with adjustable size. No launchers, no extra DRM.
Key improvements:
The outline effect now uses precomputed values and a simpler shader path, cutting down GPU work while keeping the same visual result.
[/*]Background systems have been trimmed: fewer component lookups, reduced per-frame checks, and proper shutdown of background tasks in Unity (coroutines) after scene changes to avoid unnecessary processing.
[/*]Memory use is tighter, loading spikes are reduced, and graphics settings scale more efficiently on lower-end hardware to avoid stutter during busy moments.
[/*]
These changes make gameplay feel snappier and lighter, especially on lower-end hardware and Steam Deck.
Thanks for playing
The \"Half a Thousand Fragments\" achievement is now easier to earn: requires 400 points (as opposed to 500 before), and is renamed \"Two-Fifths of a Thousand Fragments.\"
As always, thanks for playing
This minor patch fixes:
Missing font asset
[/*]Bug where occasionally the volume would not reset after pausing the game
[/*]Paging in leaderboards
[/*]
Thanks for playing
This update improves performance, stability, UI/visuals, and gameplay consistency across all modes.
Tactical
Timer now starts when player first triggers a move
[/*]Fixed bug where ejection line direction was pointed inwards to walls
[/*]Fixed continue bug on final level
[/*]
Infinite
Fixed memory leak in geo-object pooling and caching
[/*]Center player sphere to the target it is attached to if it drifts off too far to the side; except for the top target when it starts moving (that one you still have to time to hit )
[/*]Top target starts moving a bit later in game, and moves 5% slower than before
[/*]Increased bomb power-up spawn probability by 5%
[/*]
UI
Fixed \"Back\" support in menus for backspace on keyboard and \"button east\" on controllers (B on Xbox, circle on PS etc.)
[/*]Fixed aspect ratio handling and adaptive layout
[/*]Corrected leaderboard typos
[/*]Trimmed usernames to fit one line
[/*]
Effects
Optimized explosion fragment caching to reduce CPU load
[/*]
This minor patch makes the game a little easier:
Infinite
[list]Unlock after completing only 3 levels of Tactical (as opposed to previous 5)
[/*]Display a timer for auto trigger (in addition to the timer bar)
[/*]Increase time limit for auto trigger to 5 seconds when top target starts moving
[/*]
Tactical
Extend the direction indicator line slightly
[/*][/*]In addition, the UI is updated to better adapt to 4:3 aspect ratio and Steam Deck.
I hope these changes make the game a bit more forgiving!
