We almost reached 1000 players!

Hey everyone!

We almost reached 1000 people who tried our demo and honestly it means a lot to us. Seeing so many players jump in and take the time to tell us what worked or what felt confusing has been amazing. It feels like this dream of ours is slowly becoming real and we could not be more grateful. We want you to feel heard because you all are a huge part of this project and every message and every comment pushes us to make the game better.

Here is what we worked on and you can expect this week, thanks to your feedback:

\n-We added a simple brightness guide at the start. It sounds small but it helps everyone get the best visual clarity without things being too bright or too dark.

\n-We updated some levels to make them more fun, easier to read or more clever. We aim to keep a good balance between puzzles, weight mechanics, fast platforming and little moments where you have to think differently. We want each level to feel fresh and unique.

\n-We made the backgrounds a lot darker so players can instantly tell what is part of the gameplay and what is only decoration. This reduced confusion for new players and helped them understand the environment much faster.

\n-We added a life bar during the tutorial and an arrow that shows the direction of your cursor or joystick. This makes it easier to understand how the dash works and helps players aim it more naturally.

\n-The tutorial now explains some concepts that were not intuitive before. Things like:

-How wall jumps work by alternating sides, for example to be able to keep wall jumping you need to do left, right, left, right, left right, and vice versa. You cannot infinitely wall jump on the same wall.

-How gem colors match doors and pressure plates.

-Gold plates activate once and stay that way.

-Grey plates are timed and go back after a moment.

-Your size affects speed, your jump height and your health.

-Some plates require a specific slime size.

\nAlso, doors linked to gold locked plates are now gold. Doors linked to grey timed plates stay grey. This helps players understand what door does what more easily.

\nFinally, we also fixed smaller issues and improved the general feel of the game. This is only the beginning. We want the experience to feel smooth and polished.

The Melty Way Now Available in All Steam Languages!

Hi everyone!

The Melty Way now speaks to players from all corners of the world.\n

All 29 languages supported by Steam are now fully implemented across the store page and the demo. Even though the game doesnt contain a lot of text, the goal has always been the same: to make everyone feel welcomed, understood, and included the moment they discover it.

Interest has come from places both near and far, and every bit of that support has meant more than words can express. Seeing people from different countries connect with this tiny melting slime has brought a quiet but genuine sense of gratitude. This localization update is a way to return that feeling, a small thank-you to everyone who has shown curiosity, patience, or encouragement along the way.

Welcome to The Melty Way!

Hello everyone!

Were two friends who always dreamed of making our own game. Today we can finally say mission accomplished, we get to share a first look at it with you. The demo for The Melty Way is now live and if you enjoy tight platformers with personality, we think youll have a blast playing The Melty Way. Our game looks cute, but don\'t be fooled, it definitely knows how to challenge both your reflexes and your big beautiful brain. The whole game revolves around size management. Your slime melts and shrinks whenever you move, jump or dash, but be careful because your size literally represents your health. Melt too much and you go SPLOOOSH bye bye!

To grow bigger, you need food scattered around the levels, but it is limited, so you\'re going to have to do a diet because you cant just snack on everything. The more you eat, the bigger you get. Big slime has more health and can activate heavy switches, but moves like someone after a leg day. Medium keeps things perfectly balanced as all things should be. Small is fast, snappy and perfect for precise platforming, but one mistake and you\'ll become a decorative puddle. Each size changes how you deal with puzzles, traps and movement, so deciding when to melt or when to eat becomes a crucial part of the strategy.

We have a lot of handcrafted levels scattered across different environments. Each area brings its own special mechanics, surprises and new dangerous traps. Some levels lean into puzzles. Some push your speed and timing. Some mix everything together just to keep things interesting. And a few levels are us thinking outside the box to give you more unpredictable and diversified experiences.

Theres also a small story woven through the game. Its nothing overly complex, but youll meet a few warm characters during this somewhat lonely journey, each adding a bit of charm, guidance or humor along the way. A few parts of the world and its mysteries are left open to interpretation too, so you can read into things however you want as you explore.

The game also features our own original music. Some tracks are chill, some are more energetic, depending on the environment and what the level is asking from you. We tried to shape every piece so it reflects the emotion and vibe we feel in those moments. Enjoy the soundtrack and let it carry you through the world as you play.

The demo gives you a small taste of all that. Its not too hardcore, just enough to give you a good feel of what the game is going to offer later. Try it out, play around with the movement and see how well you manage your size with the limited resources each level gives you.

The full game release is planned for March 2026. Most of the content is already finished and were polishing everything until then to make the whole experience as smooth, fun and satisfying as possible.
