Hello there!
We owe you a big update on why things have been a bit quiet in the game updates lately. We've been deep in the development trenches.
Firstly, the game has been lacking in many aspects, and I don't want to update it with incomplete
progress. I need to glue the fixes I have made so far.
Better Lod's:
Many of you pointed out lods were terrible. i removed 2d lod's and improved performance with reducing materials. also enabled fade in/fade out animation to reduce asset poping in. It will take time to find the sweat spot but it is better.
Memory Optimization And New game load system:
I have implemented addressables to load/unload big objects from ram. game was using 5 gb of ram an i reduced it to 2 gb for now. this will allow us to add more things to do in the game. also will prevent game crashes on 8gb ram pcs. with new game load logic maybe i can add co-op in the future. I will look into that after the game somewhat finished.
Language Support Implementation:
Adapted the game to support multiple languages, enhancing accessibility for a broader audience.
Input System Overhaul:
Restructured the entire input system to incorporate controller support and customizable control bindings.
Integrated wheel support to provide a more immersive gaming experience.
Phone Interface Enhancement:
Redesigned the in-game phone interface for user-friendly interactions, optimized for use with a gamepad.
New Features:
Introduced a blacklist app for finding races
Will add pink slip races, enabling players to get their opponents cars.
Upcoming Features:
Currently developing an online shopping feature, allowing players to order parts conveniently to be delivered to their in-game house.
In progress: Setting up a wrap store for customization options
We know you've been patiently waiting, and we appreciate your understanding. We promise the wait will be worth it.
I spent my time working on things that were mostly unseen. but here is some that i show it to you
