The final new features have been added for the beta!
Now you can buy allies to fight alongside you and use the combo system, which allows you to earn more points by doing fast eliminations in a row.
Also, all menus and the user interface in general have been improved, and so has the player's HUD.
The demo, or in this case, the beta version, is becoming available for October's Steam Next Fest.

Welcome to the Development Update of Enfora Star!
Many core features have been updated since the last Development Update!
Players can now upgrade their spaceship with armor pickups and weapon damage boosts, and also build more different types of turrets or upgrade existing ones!
Now the droids can attack from every direction towards the space station, so you can't focus all defenses on one side anymore.
The following features have been implemented or are currently under development for the Beta version:
End-boss: The most complex enemy so far. The end boss will have multiple different attacks and utilities.

New space station visuals: Updated the space station visuals with new particle effects and added more details to the sprites. The station's look will also change due to the damage it has taken.

Armor pickup: A new collectible. Players can collect armor pickups to boost the armor grade of the spaceship. More armor means less damage taken from enemies.

Weapon damage boost: A new collectible. Players can boost their damage output by collecting weapon damage boost pickups. The boost is permanent but randomly added to one available weapon.
[/*]Enemies attack sectors: Now enemies can attack from every direction towards the space station, so building your defenses needs to be more organized. Before each wave, the minimap will show the attacking directions of the next wave.
[/*]New turrets: Space cannons and Wave turrets are now available!
[/*]Turret upgrade/rebuild: Turrets can be upgraded to level 2 (blue) and also rebuilt to a different type if desired.

Welcome to the Development Update of Enfora Star!
Enemy droid forces are expanding even further. The new yellow droid will dash your ship to pieces, while the blue droid's EMP will slow you down if you try to escape.
And even if you manage to escape or fight back, can you hunt down the invisible threat called Banshee, or are you just its next prey?
The following features are implemented or are currently under development for the Beta version:
- New enemy: Advanced yellow droid that will dash toward the player when nearby.
- New enemy: Advanced blue droid that shoots EMP projectiles, which will slow down the player if hit.
- New enemy: Special enemy called Banshee that can use invisibility and improved EMP projectiles which disable multiple player utility systems like dash. Also shoots shards at close range.
- Special waves: Special wave events to add more variety to the gameplay.
- Steam Achievements: Enfora Star is now implemented to work properly with Steam SDK. Multiple achievements are already implemented, but there are still more to come.
- Updated visuals: Some power-ups got updated visual effects.
- Updated statistics: More detailed statistics can now be found on the high score page. Such as how many droids the player or turrets have destroyed, or how many power-ups the player has used. Some of these stats are sent to Steam too to keep tracking achievement progress.
- Bug fixes: Various issues have been fixed.

Step into the cockpit and prepare for new challenges! This development update of Enfora Star will introduce advanced droids with missile attacks and spawning abilities that will put your tactical skills to the ultimate test.
But don't worry! Your arsenal will be updated with a new gun which is introduced below!
The following features are implemented or are currently under development for the Beta version:
- New enemy: Advanced orange droid that shoots missiles randomly across the battlefield.
- New enemy: Advanced pink droid that spawns smaller pink droids.
- Wave gun: Shoots wave projectiles that harm and slow enemies simultaneously. The ammo passes through enemies, allowing you to hit multiple targets with a single projectile.
- Updated background: Animated the main background and improved details.
- Expanded controller support: Added PS5 controller support.
- Dash-shield: Player now has a visual dash-shield when dashing.
- New crosshair: The default crosshair has been changed to look more like a sight, helping with aiming.
- UI updates: User interface is getting an updated look.
- Bug fixes: Various issues have been fixed.
