D3AD HAND now includes R3D STAR — a full new bonus and more challenging adventure featuring hours of new content!
Crack the code, feed the cat, save the world.

D3AD HAND is a darkly comedic point-and-click adventure set in a crumbling Cold War missile base deep in Siberia. You are Yuri Spraytyvich, freshly appointed Junior Strategic Missile Force Manager, tasked with holding together the decaying Čerëmuški Command Post.
But when PERIMETER—the Soviet automatic defense system—mistakenly initiates a nuclear launch, it’s up to Yuri (and your wits) to stop the end of the world. Navigate sabotage, radiation, worker strikes, and absurd bureaucracy in a race against doomsday.
R3D STAR: Uncover the fate of Sputnik and thwart the devious plans of Major Perestrova in your continued quest to prevent global annihilation.
◉ Unique alternative history setting and pixelart style.
◉ Tongue-in-cheek Humour.
◉ Elegant point 'n' click control of character.
◉ Ideal for newcomers to the genre, familiar and nostalgic for veterans.
◉ Different endings to discover.
◉ Play as Stalin in R3D STAR to help Yuri using your feline skills!
Happy Holidays to all D3AD HAND players and your families!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to observe lots of players as they were playing D3AD HAND and also to talk to them. That gave me some very good insights that I used for patch 2.7.
Patch 2.7
1) I enhanced the contrast between the gears and the background in the \"gears puzzle\".
2) I changed the \"Steam puzzle\" a bit, in the hope that the gauges will make more easy to alert the player of when they are close to the right solution.
As usual, do not esitate to contact me for suggestions.
Stay safe!
Quack!
D3AD HAND was my first real attempt at creating a professional game. It had its flaws, sure but it was made with a lot of love, passion, and a desire to tackle a difficult subject in a way that could be both respectful and fun. Not an easy task!
After release, I kept working on the story and characters, creating R3D STAR, a free DLC much larger than the base game a love letter to everyone who played D3AD HAND and wished for more.
To this day, I still watch playthroughs, listen to feedback, and refine the game bit by bit. And yes Im already planning another free DLC in the future.
If youre among the few who enjoyed this quirky little adventure, please consider nominating D3AD HAND for the Labor of Love Steam Award.
Its not a hit, and every bit Ive earned has gone back into making it better but I believe it deserves a big hug and a whole lot of love.
Thank you for being part of this journey. \nQUACK!

Executive decision to swap the Faux Cyrillic in the Hotspot with a more readable font.
I must said the faux cyrillic received more hatred than love, so I hope this change will make the game more enjoyable.
Quack.
I must thank Pa-Sama for playing R3D STAR. \nLooking at her gameplay helped me improving the game a lot.
Version 2.5 of D3AD HAND has some Game Design improvements:
Cables in Control Room are disabled after Stalin turns off the cameras.
[/*]The stethoscope is much less unforgiving. You can use it on any Safe hotspot now.

- Bad Ending in D3AD HAND now goes back to Titles.

- Fixed smoke particle effect.
Stalin was able to talk with Ernenek after the dream sequence with Yuri's voice.
Potentially fun maybe but definitely wrong. steamhappy

I went to the bottom of the new issues with the inventory.
This patch should fix all the issues and it shouldn't break existing saving point.
But if you experience any issue please get in touch here or in Discord .
Thank you for your support and your patience.
Added a "clean" function on the Pause menu (Press ESC) that should fix a broken inventory scenario in R3D STAR.
To answer a possible problem with the close button of the fridge photo I made a small patch.
The button is moved and anchored in a different position in the hope it can fix the issue.
This was a funny one. It was possible to drag the gears inside the inventory and mess around in the gear puzzle. Not anymore. steammocking
In the Steam puzzle scene, opening the TO DO List or Perimeter documentation was causing to get stuck.
Have you explored the icy landscape of ermuki? Faced down PERIMETER? Outwitted Major Perestrova? Or simply enjoyed playing as a moustached cat in Soviet Russia?
If you've played D3AD HAND and survived the madness (or at least laughed through it), leaving a review on Steam really helps us. It boosts the games visibility, brings in new players, and lets us know what you loved (or what radiation leaks we need to fix).
Your review doesnt need to be long even a sentence or two goes a long way.
Thank you for supporting this weird, pixelated journey through Cold War chaos. More surprises are still on the way
Stay frosty, and pet the cat for luck.
