Rule the galaxy or die trying!

You were never meant to be the heir. You were the second child, the pampered princess, busy with your friends and your pet and your collection of beautiful shoes. But then your mother died, your brother the Prince turned traitor, and your father the Emperor disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Now it's up to you to win the Imperial Election and claim the throne.

Set in the universe of previous title Long Live The Queen, Galaxy Princess Zorana carries on the tradition of strategic life-simulation in a deadly game of court intrigue.

Choose Your Strengths

Every turn, you can choose different skills for Zorana to study, transforming her from an unprepared princess into a master of etiquette or swordfighting or lock-picking or spaceflight.

The skills you prioritise each playthrough will open up different possibilities for responding to story events. Danger is always brewing in the Celestial Empire, and every turn some situation will arise that requires Zorana to make decisions: 

Attempting a lockdown without sufficient Military skill might backfire and make the Imperial Fleet rebel against you!

Keep Your Friends Close (And Your Enemies Closer)

To become Empress, you must win over a majority of the thirty Electors scattered around the Empire.

Travel to their locations and try to earn their favor by making political promises, carrying out quests, offering them positions in your cabinet, or even promising marriage. Every Elector has their own allies and enemies, so you must choose strategically which characters to court and which to ignore. Supporting one faction may make another turn against you.

Keep your eyes open - your fellow nobles are backstabbing schemers who wouldn't hesitate to assassinate an adolescent girl for their own benefit. Choose wisely.

Choice And Consequence

With dozens of skills to learn and hundreds of branching paths to follow, there is always another secret waiting to be uncovered. Your choices will shape Zorana's character and, through her, the future of the Celestial Empire.

Will you rule with an iron fist, or try to bring the Empire to a kindler, gentler tomorrow? Will your legacy shine brightly, or will you fail to win the Election and be wiped off the historical record? Will you even survive long enough to try?

We have been approved for Steam trading cards and you should start seeing them drop now!

The latest update fixes a few rare bugs and adds a Help feature to the mood wheel screen allowing you to view which skills will be affected by which moods.

Launch! (and tiny update)

It took a long time to get here, but we\'re finally out among the stars!

Pick up the game for 15% off from now until Nov 29th (running just a tiny bit longer than the standard one week in order to cover Black Friday)

If you backed the game on Kickstarter you should have received information through that site on how to claim your Steam key - if you haven\'t heard anything, go take a look over there, sometimes emails go missing.

Also, if you saw a tiny update go through today? Trying to fix a launch issue on Linux. Should have absolutely no effect for Windows players. Of course, if you do run into any issues please let us know on the discussion forums!

There is a LOT of game to explore and a LOT of secrets out there to find. We\'re not publishing any guides yet, but a few early testers may have suggestions that can help steer you towards the achievements. Still, there\'s no need to rush! It\'s a big galaxy out there.

Release date!

We\'re eager to finally get some more players in to explore our universe.

As mentioned, launch will not be the end of content. There WILL be free updates later for things that were Kickstarter stretch goals. Nothing that is coming is intended to be DLC, it will all be additions to the main game that you\'ll get as automatic updates. New art is already in progress, but don\'t worry, there\'s already so much to explore, you will be busy for quite a while before you need anything new.

Development Progress

Since the successful conclusion of the Kickstarter we have been hard at work bringing Galaxy Princess Zorana towards launch state. The testing process for players with beta-keys is ongoing. The game is playable end-to-end except for the lack of the final epilogue, credits, and things that would normally be unlocked by completion (gallery, deaths list, achievements, etc). The in-game codex has also not been filled out at this point. Partly we're keeping an eye on player questions to see what else might need to be added.

Based on player input, bugs are being ironed out, additional text is being added, and UI is being tweaked. A few beta-tester streams exist, if you're curious (of course, these rapidly become outdated as new patches drop)

The first backer-designed character was added to the game in the last patch:

We do not have a specific launch date planned at this point. Yes, it's still very likely it will be out before the end of the year. It's also possible it will roll over into 2026 if we decide to wait until more content is added.

From the stretch goals list, the additional Romance Graphics and Aliens will definitely not be available this year (the art will take too long to complete) and will probably be added post-launch. The Rebel ending is more possible but unknown at this point.

The key point is - things are happening! We are very much in motion!

We know we've kept you waiting for news but now we have some exciting things to announce!

First off, if you check the Steam page, you should see that we have a brand-new trailer available which should provide an overview for the game and a few smiles.

Secondly, the game is now funding on Kickstarter . We will not be doing Early Access on Steam so if you want to get in on the beta level and make suggestions while the game is in development (or snag one of the special offers) this is the time to do it. But if not, don't fear, the game will get here eventually!

It's been a long road getting here and we're very excited (AND STRESSED!) and looking forward to being able to invite players into our world soon!
