In this story-driven 3D platformer, explore Sephonie Island's massive cave network, and link with unidentified species using the novel Puzzle Grid system. Explore the island's depths as shipwrecked biologists Amy, Ing-wen, and Riyou, whose personal histories come to bear on the shifting spiritual landscape of the island depths. Parkour-esque platforming Use an acrobatic moveset to navigate lush, jade canopies and rusty sandstone spires. Now if you press SPACE at the very first controller config screen, you can skip the configuration. You won't be able to use the game's in-game controller stuff but keyboard or an external joypad to key input software will work. This was added because some computers are detecting controllers when none are plugged in, making getting into the game impossible.

Anodyne is Now Available on Steam and is 33% off during the Indie Spring Sale!

In Anodyne, you explore and fight your way through nature, urban and abstract themed landscapes and dungeons in the human Young's subconscious, evoked by a GBC/16-bit-era visual style and a moody, dream-like soundtrack.

If you're playing on Ubuntu, I've included source code and scripts that make setting up controller support as painless as possible. Though it still might be painful, but hey! You're using Linux, so this should be easy. INSTALLATION: Anodyne MUST be installed into the default steam directory in your home folder or achievements won't work. Sorry. If installation fails, you probably don't have Adobe AIR. Follow the instructions at my friend Lars' site to learn how to install Adobe AIR. http://www.defendersquest.com/linux.html CONTROLLER SUPPORT: Open a Terminal and navigate to the folder where Anodyne's installed (I think it's ~/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Anodyne or something). Anyways inside there is a folder called "linux_controller". README.txt has instructions - you need to compile a joy2key program and a configuration program. Run the config once with your controller plugged in to make a controller configuration, then run joy2key once Anodyne is running, click on the Anodyne window and your controller input will be sent there.
