Trapped in an Evolving Death Game, he chooses to rebel.
You awaken in a mysterious luxury bar, the Golden Jack, alongside nine strangers, and are forced to play a game by The Owner. Each player represents one of the game's rules. You can disobey your own rule, and that rule will disappear if you die. Only three players can survive...unless you find another way.
Beyond R: Rule Ripper is a visual novel with some light gameplay elements, inspired by series such as Zero Escape, Danganronpa, and Ace Attorney, as well as anime like Death Parade and Kaiji. Mixing suspense, drama, and mystery, with a seasoning of comedy.
Defy the death game by gaining the trust of its players and confronting them in the game's Councils, a face-off between all players where anyone can kill through a vote. Can you tame this wild variety of players before it's too late or will the pressure of death drown you?
Make your voice heard and prevent the discussion from falling into chaos through an imagined game of pool. When do you strike and who?

Perhaps something hiding beyond...
Hi! As you might have noticed, I\'ve been busy ever since release fixing bugs and improving the game. I\'ve barely done any patch notes because working on the game is already a lot of work, but as updates have slowed down, I felt like making one for today\'s update.
I won\'t go into details about the bug fixes, but the main ones are related to flag problems when moving through time in the not-secret-anymore Time menu, especially when repeating paths. If you didn\'t hear about it, though the game explains it too, you can access it by clicking on the Time in the BARMAN. I made big improvements to it about a week ago, making it easier to know where you need to go, what you haven\'t done during investigations, and branch buttons that let you switch back and forth.
Now, thanks to more feedback and having more time to focus on QoL, I\'ve made the following changes:
Added a Time-Out to Councils 4, 5, and 6. Their structure made it hard to add them, but after some thinking I found the points that make the most sense.
[/*]The skip function will now disable (and skip will be stopped) whenever an intervention chance shows up. That way, you can skip around without having to worry about going past one. You\'ll still have to react in time before it dissapears though! I recommend being careful whenever the billiard table shows up.

It\'s not too much compared to previous updates, but it should help a lot. I\'m aware that one of the biggest criticisms has been some of the gameplay, so I\'m doing what I can to improve it, even if it means having to let go of some things. I still don\'t want to add a \"save anytime\" option in councils, though. At least not one that can be found easily. But who knows, try to tell the game to HOLD UP and it might listen!
