Hi everyone!

With the release getting closer, I'd like to give you a few tips and information about how to play Ell, the fire mage.

Ell

Overview

Ell is probably the simplest character to play in Joltt - Battle Pillars. She is available in the demo, so feel free to jump on the demo right after reading this.

In a nutshell: Use her powerful feints to lure your enemy and take advantage of the situation.

Special Moves

Ell has 10 special moves in total.

Her basic moves A, B and X are as follow:

A: casts a horizontal projectile

B: casts a diagonal projectile

X: Feints a limited horizontal projectile, then casts a diagonal projectile.

By adding the forward direction to these 3 buttons, you gain access to a different or more powerful version of the special move. Keep in mind that recovery on these moves are much longer than on the simple versions seen above.

A: Feint a limited horizontal projectile, then casts a horizontal projectile

B: Casts two diagonal projectiles

X: Feints a diagonal projectile, then casts a horizontal projectile

She also has access to aerial moves:

(jump) A: Casts an aerial horizontal projectile

(jump) B: Casts an aerial diagonal projectile

(jump) X: Feints an aerial diagonal projectile, then casts an aerial horizontal projectile

Finally, pressing Y when the super gauge is filled will cast her devastating super move!

Strategy

Use Ell's powerful feints to lure your enemy into a bad situation and take advantage of it.

The feints are limited in the distance they will travel, but while they are on screen, they are still true projectiles! This allow you to cancel your opponent's projectile with the feint and gain momentum with the second projectile.

Ell's standard projectiles are also the ones which are cast the quickest in the game. Only 0.1 second preparation time!

If you need to delay the moment you will fall on your pillar while jumping, jump X is golden.

Ell's Super is the fastest projectile in the game! When you have it ready, don't forget to use it!

Hello everyone !

I have some great news to share today regarding Joltt - Battle Pillars!

On Monday October 13th, the game will take part in Steam Next Fest! This is quite a big deal, as a lot of players will (hopefully ^^') play the demo. To make sure everything is ready, I just uploaded a new demo. So if you have the opportunity, don't hesitate to play it and let me know if you encountered any bugs, or if you have any feedback.

Here are the main changes in the new demo:

- Ranked mode is now available to everyone, even when playing the demo.

- The tutorial will be launched when playing the game for the first time.

- Various Joltt - Matchmaking channels have been created on Rablo Games Discord server to help players find matches. A prompt to join the Discord server has been added while waiting for an opponent.

- Many bugs have been fixed, many small tweaks.

Feel free to try the demo ahead of Steam Next Fest, and please let me know if you stumble across any problem.

Hey everyone!

The playable demo of Joltt - Battle Pillars has been updated!

Many changes were applied, but here are the main ones:

• I added the online mode for the demo! So far it's only the custom room online mode, but the ranked mode will also be added to the demo closer to the release. Right now, you can create your custom room, send the room name to your friend and you will be able to play with them online. This is a first version of the online mode, so feel free to let me know if you encounter bugs. And yes, you will be able to challenge people playing the full game even if you only own the demo!

• I reworked the main menu to make it more clear : solo modes are now regrouped under a single entry on the main menu.

• I added the options menu in addition to the keyboard config menu. You have now access to various options, such as the game speed, the platforms HP, activating the attacks from the judges, the number of points to win the game, sound settings, etc.

• New solo modes have been added: VS CPU and Story mode. You can still play the first 4 challenges of characters available in the demo, of course. Also feel free to follow the tutorial before playing.

The full release is planned for end of this year. The exact date will be announced soon. In the meantime, please have fun with the demo and let me know about any feedback you have! I'm 100% dedicated to make the game as good and balanced as possible.
