Like I promised earlier this year, I just recently pushed an update that includes the v1.0.0 version of the Linux release!
I played through it after getting it all sorted out and it seemed to run without any real issues outside of the occasional graphical glitch, though I'm pretty sure I fixed those during the testing phase ^^
It was developed and released under Arch Linux. Game Maker supports Ubuntu natively, so I had to do a bit of extra setup to get Game Maker and the project working on Arch, but once I did it ran great! I'm still relatively new to Linux so there's of course still quite a bit I'm learning so please bear with me if you run into anything unexpected! (i have no regrets switching over so far though lol)
This update should not affect Windows users.
Linux users, the version information should be v1.0.0 in the title screen as well as on the game window's title bar. Thanks everyone for your ongoing support and feedback!

- Fixed a bug where, if playing as the unlockable character, Flame's graphics would show instead during the intro transition into the next-to-last level
- Fixed a bug where, if playing as the unlockable character, Flame's graphics would show instead during the introduction into the last level
- Fixed a bug where Flame's sprite would draw on the top of the screen during the animation/sequence that plays shortly before entering the last level

Hey everyone! Got another small patch for y'all this evening. This one just fixes some minor visual bugs and a typo that were reported recently lol.
- Fixed a bug where when playing as [spoiler]NO Body[/spoiler] during very specific level transitions his sprites would change back into Flame
- Fixed a typo in the epilogue cutscene

Hey everyone, another patch for you all this afternoon!
Before the notes, I just wanted to let everyone know that i'm now on a new PC and installed an updated version of Game Maker.
I did a full playthrough of the game using this new version of Game Maker and only ran into very minor issues as a result of upgrading, which I fixed. Only one minor issue remains, and it's sometimes during cutscenes, SOME sound effects have softer volume. I've not yet been able to find a fix for this, and I'm thinking it's a Game Maker bug as this only seemed to happen after upgrading (at least, I never noticed it before). BUT I will keep my eyes on the bug reports and future updates for Game Maker.
But enough talk, here are the patch notes!
- Repositioned one of the Trunkle enemies in Yggdrasil, who could sometimes spawn in the floor and then fall through it
- Fixed a bug where the some foreground tiles in the underground base level got moved to the background
- Fixed a bug where the cutscenes would still play before the final boss, even if cutscenes were turned off
- Fixed a bug where the cutscenes would still play after exiting the first sewer section in the underground base level, even if cutscenes were turned off
I believe that's everything.
Again, this is running on a newer version of Game Maker, and while I DID do a full playthrough of the game to make sure everything was in working order, please let me know if you run into any issues!
The versions info should be "1.1.33.1580" in the window title and on the titlescreen.

Good evening everyone, hope you're all doing well ^^ Here's another patch with another small batch of bug fixes
- Fixed some return-to-map inconsistencies when beating the Level 5 boss as the unlockable character rather than Flame (in other words you teleported to the wrong location)
- Fixed a bug where completing the level 5 boss as the unlockable character could cause a bug where revisiting the boss or any after would instantly kill the next main boss you fought
- Fixed a cutscene that would play while as the unlockable character that shouldn't have played (I think I got them all this time lol)
- Fixed a bug where revisiting the level 3 boss would sometimes not spawn the boss and you would have to quit out of the level due to a softlock
I believe that's it for this one.
You should see the new version info 1.1.31.1573 in the game titlebar and on the title screen.

- Fixed a bug for the [spoiler]Captain Keplar[/spoiler] boss where some old obscure dev tools were still enabled (oops!)
- Fixed a bug where, in certain conditions, the aforementioned boss could be skipped entirely when entering the arena and the story and key items would be acquired as though he were fought and beaten.

Good afternoon everyone, I've got another quick patch today!
- Fixed a bug where firing the shotgun at point-blank range at one of the Archangels would cause a colored rectangle to be deflected back at the player
- Fixed a bug where piercing bullets and shurikens could become duplicated if an archangel deflected them
- Added a QOL fix that makes the game create/select a different save slot IF one is available. If all save slots are in use and the player starts a new game, they will be prompted to overwrite a save slot before continuing.

- Fixed a bug where completing the Frozen Hotsprings and Savior's Resting Flames quests prior to getting the ice or wind spells for their respective locations would not complete the quests
- Fixed a crash that occurred when the Archangels blocked an explosion
- Fixed a bug where throwing the boomerang at an Archangel would cause a duplicate boomerang to spawn

- Significantly reduced the amount of damage one particular attack the final boss uses can inflict
the original damage value was cartoonishly high and i'm not sure how that made it into the game

Hey all! New, small patch today! Pretty specific bugs this time:
- Fixed a crash that would occur when entering the boss zone for the Yggdrasil level while the Portuguese language was in use
- Added missing translation for the pre-boss cutscene in the Yggdrasil level while the Portuguese language was in use
My apologies, I used DeepL for the game's translations, and sometimes it added extra context for the translations outside of the quotation marks which caused the game to freak out when those specific lines of dialogue were in use, or it missed entire lines of dialogue during the translation. I guess my game has too much text
Anyhow, thanks to those who reported this issue!
