You need the money. That’s it. There are no laws, morals, or theological ideologies that will change the facts. You must save Mom. Are you willing to sacrifice the needs of these strangers they call your coworkers? They aren’t going to stand by and let you. Are you willing to feed the rot that poisons the world? Maybe taking the job is already doing so. Can you burn it all down? You have to try.
Accuracy and precision are both keys to success. Develop expertise in handling your implements to improve your efficiency and avoid mistakes. More accurate, more precise, more commission. However, avoid habits and remain alert. Daily challenges can break your routine.
Communicate with your coworkers at work and family and friends from home. Remember: your interactions with everyone you talk to can dramatically shift the world around you in both future discussions and your work day. Give somebody advice? They might take it in a way that alters their life. Make too much money one day? Someone might get jealous and take desperate action against you.
Purchasing upgrades is another excellent way to increase productivity. Many items can lessen your workload, boost your earnings, and make your ingredients easier to keep track of. There are also ways to aesthetically customize your space, so your work environment is as comfortable as possible.
Every company has a skeleton in the closet. With Max Potency, however, the term "Corporate Hell" may not be as metaphorical as it seems. Choose if you will take what you need and get out, or if you will risk everything to help make them pay.
Hi everyone, it's Max from Made in Less, and if you're reading this at all, thank you! Corporate Hell was selected to participate in Debut Festival 2025 to celebrate my studio's first creation. Let's get the big questions out of the way.
What's in the playtest?
Great question, me. This build of the game is essentially a Demo Beta, if you will. It is what I expect the demo of the game to encapsulate, but it's not entirely set in stone. I didn't want to release a demo that has the potential to change quite a bit by the full release (especially because your save file will not transfer). So, playtest to the rescue. The playtest captures the first seven days of content for Corporate Hell, but does not limit you there. You can play the main gameplay loop as much as you'd like, but new recipes, messages, and interferences all end around Day 7.
It is a good representation of how the game works and gives you a taste/introduction to how the story will unfold. There are also a few tiny hints of some of the psychological horror elements I have planned.
What do I get for participating?
Money. Cold, hard cash. Just kidding, I'm broke. Hopefully, you get a little bit of joy and excitement for what's to come. You also get my immense gratitude. Most importantly, you get a chance to shape the future of this game. Your insight can have a major impact on the direction of new and existing features in V1.0.
Will the playtest still be available after the festival?
Yes! I haven't settled on when the playtest will close, but it will be up for at least a couple of months. That being said, all feedback is appreciated as early as possible. I am actively developing the rest of the game to meet an early 2026 release date.
Hope you have fun! If you have any issues, feel free to report them to madeinlessgames@gmail.com
