• Released the To the Moon: Bestest Memories tabletop game!
  Thanks to the supportive community, we've managed to finish production and ship out the game. If you missed the campaign, the main games are available at Freebird's BigCartel: https://freebirdgames.bigcartel.com/ There are still kinks we're working out with the logistics for some edge cases, and it was a great challenging and learning experience to work with physical goods at a larger scale. But overall, it's been a great campaign, and we're glad folks are enjoying the game and the collectables.
• Launched the To the Moon Beach Episode on Steam:

After getting away with it for way too long, the release date is finally set to September 20, 2024! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2159210/Just_A_To_the_Moon_Series_Beach_Episode/ Languages: We'll try to bring on all the languages the previous titles had, although as with the previous titles, it would be in the months following initial release. We will likely do an initial release with English, plus one or two other languages such as the Chinese localization, which will also help ironing out the localization kinks. This will be followed by the other languages around or hopefully before the end of the year. (If you're someone who worked on a previous localization and are interested in this one, feel free to contact me or Andrii. d-(' ' d-)) Playtime: A normal playtime is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. Operating System: It will be available for all of PC, Mac, & Linux on launch. And lastly, Serenity Forge has created a memory snow globe of a scene from the beachsode available when the game launches. d-(' ' d-) (I think they'll have a preorder for it open next week too).
The beach episode will serve as one or two endings of sorts(?) to the series (with the other being The Last Hour of an Epic To the Moon RPG coming next year). There's been some minor issues that have since been caught and fixed, but the overall production quality of the samples feel solid. In updating to the new and more stable build (ironically), the location of save files for some localizations may be changed. To get your saves back, you can move the files like this: 1. Go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming 2. Your old saves are in the folder "To the Moon". Copy paste all files into the folder "To the Moon - Freebird Games".
For other potential issues (e.g. Achievement unlocking), please see Troubleshooting thread here. Thanks for your patience!

Default build has been changed to run on Ancurio's MKXP engine, as is with Impostor Factory. This allows for better full screen handling (proper screen ratio), resizable window (alt-enter), a smoother experience, and rare crash bug avoidance. d-(' ' d-) We're trying it on English first, then gradually rolling them out to other languages' builds. *If there's an issue switching to proper language, you can press F7 at title screen to change language manually. P.S. The only drawback may be a potential issue with triggering the achievement in some cases. If that happens, one work-around for the time being is to use the -achievement legacy build to run the ending to get it. To do so, just right click To the Moon from Steam library -> Property -> BETAs -> choose -achievement build from dropdown list, close & let download. d-(' ' d-)

Originally in 2008 and remastered since, this experimental game was the first time I worked with a modern setting, and paved the way for To the Moon's interior atmosphere. But in all other ways it is veeerrryyy different from what To the Moon is. In fact, I don't know what it is. Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning... but only in their patients' heads.

Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.

This particular story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.

And Johnny's last wish is, of course... to go to the moon.
