Waveform Update Released

If the game window disappears, or fails to show up, when launching the game or transitioning from the launch menu into the game, you can try enabling a new feature from within the config.ini file located within the config folder of the game’s install directory. Add the line:

Multithreaded = False

To the bottom of the config.ini file to force the game into single-threaded mode. This seems to fix the window not showing up. An option will be added in-game to toggle this, but for the time being modifying the config.ini works just as well.

Waveform’s first DLC pack is now available! Explore the planet Eris in an all-new set of levels featuring brand new challenges, achievements, and a mind-boggling new object, the Pulsar! The DLC is free for everyone who has already purchased Waveform or does so before the end of June 1st.

To celebrate the release of the DLC, the third Leaderboard Challenge is now live as well. From now until June 1st at 11:59 PST embark on Eris’ Deep Space Mode to prove your superiority. The top 5 finishers will receive a free Steam copy of the indie game Auditorium.

Announcement:
-New DLC arriving next week which will be free for all current Waveform owners and anyone who purchases the game by the end of next week. Although you’ll have to wait until the DLC releases to explore the dwarf planet Eris, you can catch a glimpse of what’s to come in the Level Select menu in today’s update.

Fixes:
-If the internet connection to the Steam servers is broken for whatever reason during a Deep Space Mode, the game would freeze upon exiting the Deep Space Mode as it waited to retrieve data from the Leaderboards. This is now fixed, and the Leaderboard screen will be automatically bypassed if no data can be retrieved from the Steam servers.
-Fixed a Light Orb that wouldn’t be hit by a Fireworks in Sun 4
-Fixed the screen transition effect that happens when you enter a Black Hole while in the Pulse challenge mode

-Fixed a problem where the title screen would only display a portion of the normal screen (black background with a star field and the cursor) and make it impossible to get into the game
-Fixed the end tutorial screens on Pluto 2 and Pluto 4

-Fixed text overlapping for short names and large scores when on the loading screen for a Deep Space Mode
-Fixed a bug on Earth 4 that prevented one Light Orb from being collected by a Fireworks while in the Hyper challenge mode
-Fixed text wrapping on loading screens for 1280x1024 screen resolutions
-Fixed the Pulse challenge mode for Asteroid Belt 6
