Fixed yet another small amount of issues that have been plaguing the game for a while now! 1) If you looked at something in the inventory during the cutscene with the guard, the cutscene resets itself after you close the closeup view again. 2) Crash bug fix with notebook. 3)When you were in the hospital when the radio is on the music would restart if you went into a closeup. 4) If you clicked "Help" you were still able to hover over locations. 5) When you look/use items in your inventory at the end, they remained on the screen during the dialog. 6) Music restart issue.
Sorry again, we're fixing some stuff, mainly issues with the notebook, still existing softlocks, all thanks to Andi again and Leuncode. -Music issue corrected -Notebook cpu click lag corrected. -Softlock on Nodespace room, fixed.
Sorry, again for patching Blackwell Legacy, Andi, has found few more issues. Namely: -A typo on a notebook entry quip. -Joey not properly placed in Nisanthi's apartment. -A cpu threshold issue with notebook. -An exploit regarding the guard and notebook. -Music resetting when looking at pictures or closeups. -Achievements and help not pausing the game potentially causing softlocks or crashes.

-Basically we've added the ability to change from skipping speech automatically and with keypresses to only when you keypress if u press "CTRL+P", that state is global, and persists between your savegames. (It wasn't global before). -Fixed a bunch of issues with Note info UI not showing properly.

Thanks to Andi, who diligently reported 8 bugs, we've fixed the following. -One interaction with Kel -A bunch of soft-locks at the ending part of the game -A soft-lock in the main menu. -Le Key bug. [hopefully the last we see of that]

Hi, We're upgrading the game to 3.6 version of AGS, which basically means better rendering, better support for resolutions and better support for keyboard and mice! The savegames have been tested and should work, and shouldn't break. If for any reason there's an issue, feel free to report and opt in to beta oldversion, by using the password "oldversionold"
Blackwell Legacy is Steamdeck verified!!
We're only missing Blackwell Unbound atm, and we'll have the whole family of the Blackwell games approved! All the steamdeck builds of all the Wadjet Eye Games, allow YOUR saves to be moved from your Operating System to Steamdeck and viceversa. Due to the nature of the engine (AGS), we decided allowing people to take their progress everywhere, was our first priority. So the adjustments that all these games have, are focused in functionality!
-Fixed the infamous guard issues, gracefully reported numerous times by our players! -Now the tooltip label confines within the screen, so you can read where the mouse is over! -Fixed an issue where the OSX version would point to Gemini Rue due to a typo.
-Fixed davenport wrong speech bug [that was actually always there] -Fixed "distract" interaction with keys, now, the guard reacts [unfortunately the original line wasn't recorded/couldn't find it, so replaced it with a diff interaction] -Fixed bug with flask/sins dialog -F2 and F3 that adjust music volume, can now be used anywhere [blocking scenes/dialogs]. Big thanks to NICU for reporting these issues <3

Hello all! You might have noticed that Blackwell Legacy has been updated (along with all the other Blackwell games) . We have re-compiled the entire game in the newest version of the Adventure Game Studio engine. This means that the game NOW WORKS ON ALL YOUR FANCY NEW MODERN MONITORS. As the game got older, many glitches started appearing. Those should - theoretically - be gone now. We know this update was a long time in coming. Thank you for your patience. This does have the negative effect of breaking all your original save files. If you would like to revert back to the original version of the game, you need to to the following: 1- Right-click on the game in your Steam library 2- Select "Properties" and go to the "Beta" tab 3- Enter the password "oldblackwelllegacy" 4- select the beta version "original" from the drop down list. The game should revert itself back to the old version. If it doesn't, uninstall and reinstall. Thank you all, and enjoy the game! -Dave & Janet
We have upgraded the Steam integration DLL which fixes an incompatibility issue with the latest version of the Steam client that stopped achievements from unlocking. With this new upgrade, all Blackwell achievements will now unlock properly.
