The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has just received an update that adds support for Apple silicon M1 and M2 chips, and macOS Ventura.

Time flies... It's hard to believe that 20 years have passed since CD PROJEKT RED was founded. The last two decades have been filled with adventure, and were so proud to have created video games that players all around the world have enjoyed not to mention having such a strong, supportive community that has been with us at every step!

Although our studio was established in February 2002, weve chosen to celebrate the anniversary today, July 1st, because on this exact date 20 years ago CD PROJEKT (at that time known as CD Projekt) announced its shift in focus to game development. Its a special date that marks the beginning of our studio as we know it today. Its where our journey into making RPGs began, and we think thats definitely worth putting in the spotlight!

But today is not the only day were going to celebrate this occasion. Its 20 years, after all! Weve got a bunch of activities planned for the coming months, and we invite you our awesome community to join in the fun! Heres the plan:

• For those hungry for knowledge, weve got CD PROJEKT RED trivia & facts coming at you every Friday!
  
• On Wednesdays, well be taking trips down memory lanes with special streams devoted to our games.

Were happy to announce that the next installment in The Witcher series of video games is currently in development, kicking off a new saga for the franchise.



This is an exciting moment as were moving from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5, beginning a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games. It covers not only licensing, but technical development of Unreal Engine 5, as well as potential future versions of Unreal Engine, where relevant. We'll closely collaborate with Epic Games developers with the primary goal being to help tailor the engine for open-world experiences.

At this point, no further details regarding the game such as a development time frame or release date are available.

REDengine, the technology which powers Cyberpunk 2077, is still being used for the development of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion.

To celebrate this grand occasion, we commissioned talented artists from around the globe to create something unique for us. That's how this artwork came to be!
