We are happy to publish Patch 1.0.4 for Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy on all platforms today! With this patch, players on PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch will finally be able to play together. Here is the full changelog:

• Crossplay added between all of the following platforms in public and private games: All different PC storefronts, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series.
• Virtual keyboard enabled for consoles for password input, allowing private games to support Crossplay.
• Invite feature added (does not support Crossplay!).
• Invites enabled for all consoles, within their own console families.
• In Friend Only games, Steam and Epic overlay supports inviting and joining into ongoing games, as well as inviting into lobby.
• Gog can invite friends into Friend Only lobbies through the invite button only.
• AMD: Fixed flickering shadows for older than RDNA2 cards

• Fixed hosted lobbies sometimes not appearing in the "Browse Games" -list when there were many ongoing games.
• Plugged a memory leak.
• Fixed a rare case where a joining player brought in an extra local player with them.
• Fixed local players spawning off screen in some cases.

• Fixed a case of getting stuck joining a game when player's save slots were full.
• Fixed Quick Join creating new saves, if player already had a save of that game.

• Last used character is now remembered in Classic games if players use a character not default for their player number.
• Fixed being unable to descend a ledge into ledgegrab if standing slightly over the edge.
• Improved ledgegrabbing on sloped terrain.
• Disallowed client having story progress locked skills unlocked, that the host doesn't yet have, if they played the same save further on their own and then join back.
• Fixed "Last player remaining" -effect persisting after disconnecting.

• Fixed a rare crash when controlling another Pontius' Prismatic Talisman.
• Fixed object lock effect persisting on Pontius' thrown sword.
• Fixed some upgrades being able to use incorrect player number for their function.
• Exploding clone no longer deals damage to the final boss through its invulnerability.

• Fixed a sharp camera re-focus after breaking out of the Garden Party Gazebo.

• Pontius breaks laws of physics less and can no longer get out of bounds in the level.
• Prevented starting a fight too early by throwing boxes ahead.

• Gate Guardian nor Tower Guardian can't get stuck anymore to their flamethrower attack if Amadeus shoves a box to their face.

• One less puzzle that can be broken with Wind Burst and cause player to get stuck.
• Fixed broken French localizations for opening cutscene.

• Added a rope target to the bottom of the elevator near the end of level, in case player falls off.

• Fixes and improvements to the Sauna secret.

• Fixed Clockwork Mages causing softlocks by falling off or spawning so that they never teleported back up.

• Fixed overlapping texts in Nintendo Switch's localizations of Czech, German and Japanese.

• Xbox: Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause joining to fail on Xbox.
• PS5: Fixed vibration not working on DualSense controller(s).
• PS5: Fixed Experienced Heroes Achievement not triggering correctly.
• Steamdeck: Fixed and updated on-battery frame rate limit from 30 -> 60 fps.

Have you already tried out the editors for Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2? All Steam owners of the games received the editors for free a while ago, so if you own the games on Steam, then give them a try! Check out our Wiki to learn how to get started. :) The editors can be quite difficult to use, but now help is available from our wiki, but also from these awesome tutorial videos which Steam user Netzia posted to the Steam Community. You can also check the existing custom maps from the Trine 2 Workshop! There’s no user-made content for Trine Enchanted Edition yet, but there are a few model levels you can play with. Who will be the first to make a map for Trine Enchanted Edition? ;) Also note that our Wiki is an open wiki, so feel free to check out what others have learned there and to also contribute with your own findings – any new information could help others to make awesome maps!

Last month we released our Editor on Steam, which made possible for users to create and share levels to Trine. There are editors available to both Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2: Complete Story. And now, there are a lot of great community made maps on the Steam Workshop, which is awesome! So, go check them out if you haven't already. We also made a video to highlight some of our moments playing the custom maps, check out the short trailer below. Special thanks to the players who made the levels! http://youtu.be/eCDESwyVV6o If you can't figure out how to download or enable mods, you can find the instructions from our Wiki as well as other tips about custom levels. Hopefully we'll see new amazing custom levels in the future too! :) Note also that Trine 2 and Trine are also on nice -85% sale on Steam, if you or your friends still don't own them.

We are now officially releasing the Trine Editors on Steam for Windows. We also patched some minor gameplay issues. Some of you have already gotten a chance to try the editors through the Steam Beta, but now they are out for everyone to try! We have released two separate editors that each come bundled with their respective game; Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2. Even though the Editors look quite similar, they do have some differences - so if you have questions, please remember to specify which editor you are using. :)
The Editors may take a while to learn how to use, so they might not be for everyone - but do give them a try and see if you are up for it! The Editors are very diverse tools that allow you to edit existing maps, create whole new maps and share your creations with others through the Steam Workshop. We're really excited to see what you guys can come up with! Check out the "How to Get Started" section below for useful tips and links on how to help you get going. :) We'll also be happy to answer editor-related questions; you can email those to our Support, post your questions to our blog or in the Steam Community Discussions (links below). One last note: since the Editors are now officially released, it's recommended that those who were participating in the Beta now opt out of it to ensure they'll get all the latest updates. This is easy to do by right-clicking the games in your Steam Library, choosing Properties and navigating to the BETAS tab. The option to opt out of beta programs should be available in the drop-down menu. Remember to do this for both games.
To celebrate the official release of the editors for Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2, both games are free on Steam this weekend 16th-19th of October. The games are freely available for everyone to install and play through their Steam Library for the duration of this weekend - so remember to tell all your friends who've always wanted to try the Trine games, but have not done so yet! Since we are now officially releasing the Trine Editors for Windows, you'll get to try them for free as well. :) The games are also available for purchase for a juicy sale, 80% off until Monday 20th! Both Trine games support both local and online co-op for up to three people*, so gather your friends and have fun with Trine! *NOTE: Trine 2: Complete Story is available for Windows, Mac and Linux and has full local and online co-op support. Trine Enchanted Edition is currently only available for Windows (Mac and Linux versions are being developed), so the Mac version of Trine does not support online co-op (but does have a local co-op option!) and the Linux version of Trine is not yet available through Steam.
