Hello to all Lolly Joe fans! joedoglollypop Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. As of August, all support for Lolly Joe will officially end, and the game will become unavailable from Steam soon as well. Lolly Joe from the very beginning was a one-man effort. I had zero funding, only a small amount of savings left in my bank account. So I created all the 3D art, levels, scripting, characters, animations, etc on my own. I also published the game and took on the job of businessman, marketer, and tech support all at once. Because of lack of funding, I had to take on jobs that I knew I wasn't good at, and I know I did far from perfect at some of them. My life has changed dramatically since its release date, however. Due to the game not meeting even minimal sales expectations, I had to abandon game development. I moved on to the field of education and became a teacher, and believe it or not, I moved to China to teach college-level English! My life circumstances have changed so much, and unfortunately so has my ability to support this game. It doesn't feel right to continue offering it for sale when I can no longer offer support for it. I deeply, truly appreciate all of you who supported this game these last 3 years. It meant a lot to me. Making this game was one of the highest points of my creative career. I fulfilled a lifelong dream of making my own videogame because of Lolly Joe. I still adore each and every character I created for the game and see them all like part of my big weird 3D family. The game's story was also pulled straight out of my own life. I cried many times while working on the cutscenes. It was a very personal project for me, and I'm happy I got to share it with the world through Steam and Valve's awesome support. The game will remain in all of your Steam libraries - it's not going anywhere. You'll still be able to play it for years to come. It just won't be available to new customers anymore.
