Wildflower is being worked on by the team that made Viridi, and incorporates Viridi-like gardening into a broader, witchy RPG. Check it out! We think you'll love it!

The game!! The game we've been working on for years and years!! It's out! Join me on the Tenderfoot Tactics game page where I'll soon be streaming myself playing, answering your questions, and blushing at your praise. - Badru https://store.steampowered.com/app/1061610/Tenderfoot_Tactics/
A party of goblins, granted magic by an ancient spirit, wanders the archipelago, fighting back the terrible Fog. [previewyoutube=yBOl6AxRsUM;full][/previewyoutube] Tenderfoot Tactics is a big, exploratory, open world tactics RPG with a focus on elemental magic and complex, cascading side effects. The entire dang Viridi team is working on it, and it's coming really soon! October 21st! Check it out, and throw it a wishlist to be notified when it releases: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1061610/Tenderfoot_Tactics/ twitter.com/tenderfoot_tact facebook.com/TenderfootTactics instagram.com/icewatergames/ discord.gg/B82BDEv
A game about making games. A collaboration between half of the Viridi team (Michael Bell on sound and music, Badru on code) and a newer Ice Water Games member, Galen Drew. We hope you enjoy it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/969540/Pattern/
Hello!!
We've just announced today that we'll be self-publishing Tenderfoot Tactics through Ice Water Games. This might not seem like a big deal, idk. It's a big deal for us though!
Ice Water Games is a label that most of the Tenderfoot team has been a part of since it was first founded to publish Eidolon. It's a collectively owned and democratically run project, and publishing through it rather than signing with someone else means betting on ourselves and investing in a communally owned resource. IWG's history has been artier and less dorky than Tenderfoot, and by doing this I hope we're both saying: Tenderfoot is arty, actually, in the ways that matter and also, arts outlets should be treating 'lowbrow' fantastical genre work as serious and worth playing.
Probably more exciting, our Steam page has all new screenshots and a fresh gameplay recording with the new UI. Check it out!

Tenderfoot Tactics: The Foreverlands is live now: https://sonofbadru.itch.io/foreverlands
The Foreverlands is an ancillary tale told in the world of Tenderfoot Tactics. It also serves as a demo of the first handful of classes and the combat systems in their current state (still in development).
Thanks for looking!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1122880/Stones_of_Solace/ Have fun!
Just a little announcement that upcoming label project Stones of Solace now has:
- a release date (in only 2 weeks!)
- a Steam page
- and a price (FREE!)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1061610 I haven't been very loud about Tenderfoot until now because I've been waiting to get this teaser together to show off the open world, which is part of what makes it stand out among TRPGs. (I mean, also the combat is super deep and interesting and fun.) Anyway I'm really excited about it! It's a small team but all of us also worked on Eidolon and Viridi. Wishlist it! It really makes a huge difference! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYRQDGzXjZY
Hi! I'm Badru!
I started Ice Water Games, lead the Eidolon team, did a bunch of colors and design and code on Viridi, and uhh did some other stuff too!!
I just made a Steam Creator page for myself here, if you want to follow my work:
And hey also! I'm working on a new thing with some past collaborators (which may or may not end up coming out under the IWG label) - Michael Bell's doing the music and Isa Hutchinson's helping a bunch with design. It's a big open-world TRPG about wizardly goblins and fae spirits and elemental magics. Wishlist it if you're into the stuff we've worked on in the past?

And also give it a follow! I think I'll be posting development updates over there very soon :)

Savor the simple pleasure of building and maintaining a fire. Best enjoyed during seasonal gatherings and cold, dark nights. https://store.steampowered.com/app/933080/Fire_Place/ Do check out the demo - meant to be a satisfying version of the thing on its own, a cozy addition to any fall party. Happy Equinox!
Happy January everyone! We heard that the quickly flashing day-night cycle that played at startup if you'd been gone a very long time was physically uncomfortable (or even a seizure risk) for some people, so we made a minor graphical adjustment. Now, if it's been any more than 4 days, while your plants will still grow to reflect it, the time playback animation will only show 4 cycles. Love from Seattle!

Hi friends! Sorry for the long silence! We’ve been distracted preparing Viridi for mobile. Now that it’s finally out (android / iOS), we’re able to bring all of the updates back to our beautiful and faithful Steam community. Some of the more major changes:
- New background: the Apartment!
- Major visual unification overhaul - new custom shaders, cleaned up textures, lots of visual inconsistencies fixed
- Cat House background updated/improved
- New diverse snail colorations in different environments
- Tab key now cycles through plants
- Connection difficulties now reported to user in Nursery
- Bug fix: dead/dying plants no longer animate their death on each load
- Succulents now grow at a slightly more realistic pace
- Succulents are now significantly more resilient
- Overwatered succulents return to a Sated state much more quickly
- Various flowering issues fixed
- Default plant sizes tweaked
- Links to various social media and support email added to Nursery
- Plant selection/camera tweaked/improved
- Improved feedback for Vacation Mode - a Welcome Back screen on return
- Lots of bug fixes small and large
Hey everyone this is just to let you know that in order to prepare Viridi for mobile platforms I changed the format of the UI. This in turn changed the size and location of the UI elements. I tried to keep the sizes close to the original, but everything is gonna be a little off anyways.
Okay I'm pretty sure I have the flowering nailed down now. Again sorry that this has taken so long, hopefully this will be the last of it. Still if anything peculiar shows up please send the files immediately to dev@icewatergames.com. (FYI to get the output log you can right click on Viridi in your library click on properties --> local files --> browse local files --> Viridi_Data)
Sorry that this has taken so long to address. This patch will fix the major memory leak problem. Also this patch will try and correct the bug with flowers disappearing too quickly. Unfortunately I am not positive what exactly is causing the flowering problem. If anyone continues to experience crashes or flowers disappearing too soon please send the output log and crash file to dev@icewatergames.com. Hey I just uploaded a Viridi build that will allow mac users to name their stuff again.
Due to high demand for the return of looping music the mute button now toggles between looping music, playing only one track, and mute.
We have reached our first major update.
- New Environment
- A new succulent, Lithops optica 'Rubra'
- Vacation mode
- The grove environment now uses music from the grove in Eidolon
- Flowering achievements
- Achievements for "throwing your plants in the garden", formerly deleting plants
- You can now use z to name stuff and it won't disappear your UI
- The nursery allows you to zoom in and manually rotate plants
- Plucking weeds doesn't also select a different plant
- The snail farts when you pick it up
- Music does not constantly loop anymore
- Camera locks more quickly & precisely while placing plants.
- Zoom partially enabled while moving plants and snail, for increased precision.
- Fixed a bug where backup saves weren't being properly reverted-to in some instances.
- Spritz button is now disabled briefly after being pressed, to avoid accidental overwatering-deaths due to doubleclicks/lag.
- Spritz/Thirst values tweaked so that spritzing once while Sated will never kill a plant.
- New plants now start at the same size as starter plants, instead of automatically starting at the full size their space will allow (to help preserve pot space for easier rearranging).
- Confirmation window on plant deletion clarified to exaggerate severity even further.
- Flowers now last about a week (and some new flowers added).
- Snail freed from trailing-plant prison—now moves freely, incorporally through all biological matter.
- Achievements added for maturing your plants
- Arrow keys now zoom/rotate, for those of us without mice.
- Scientific names are written a little smarter
- Mac fullscreen mode should be easier to escape
- Subtle tooltips added to many UI elements to increase clarity
- Plant deletion text altered to emphasize permanence & severity
- Stealth-fixed some bugs I don't want you to know about
We're launching! It's now! We've got a bottle of champagne and we're excited to share our project with the world. I've just put our release trailer live on the Store page. Enjoy! -Kevin

Viridi is a safe haven, a place you can return to for a moment of peace and quiet whenever you need it.
Leave Viridi open in a second window to keep you company while you work, or check in on your plants as a meditative moment every night. While not fully realistic (they're very forgiving), your succulents will require some maintenance and can die from over- or under-watering. Name your favorite plants, give them special care and attention, and they might even flower for you.
Viridi is free to try and comes with your choice of plant assortments. If you think it has a place in your life, you can buy your favorite plants from the in-game nursery for just a few cents a piece. Remember to visit the nursery occasionally for the weekly free seeding!
