Third update

Hello everyone,

illumine was updated today. The changes are:


  • a slight gameplay change when the player is in the middle of nowhere. It is now easier and faster to find new blocks
  • Fixed the bug where the game would freeze if you die without collecting any books.
  • Fixed a problem with Steam achievements that didn't unlock properly. The fix is also retro-active.


Thanks again to the players who helped me improve the game.

[Linux] Hotfix Sunday!

With the help of a player I realized that the Steam achievements weren't working on Linux. It is now fixed!

There might also have been a problem with the Steam trading cards but there shouldn't be any by now.

Second update

A new update was pushed today. It includes various fixes and changes such as:


  • the neverending character spawning problem spawned again. I'm pretty sure I've put an end to it this time.
  • I've done several minor changes to the balance of the game. I am quite satisfied with the result. What do you think?

First update

This is illumine's first update since last week's launch. Thanks to some players a few issues have been found and should be fixed with this update:


  • There was a save issue in the "Past experience" screen. Drastic measures have been taken.
  • There was an issue with some characters spawning on top of the player. I told them to spawn somewhere else.


Once again, I'd like to thank the players for the feedback. Keep it coming!

Hopefully I'll have more news soon about a feature that has been requested!
