UPDATE 0.6.9 RELEASED!
With every major update, a quick follow-up update often gets released. Update 0.6.9 includes a couple of fixes, some extra track building elements and a major fix to the calibration functionality.
CHANGELIST
- Fixed issue where camera noise was reset when crashing into water.
- Added several types of fences and led arrows to the Track Builder.
- In the Assisted workflow for creating a Controller Preset, axis visualizations now apply calibration instead of displaying the raw signal. This means certain controllers that output a very small range will now have a visible visualization, indicating calibration was successful.
- Fixed a button in the top bar of the Controller Preset creation that was linked incorrectly.
INSTEAD OF THIS, YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT…
We love how everyone is passionate about the development of Liftoff. Everyone has great ideas and suggestions for the future of Liftoff and we very much appreciate you talking to us about it. Ofcourse when releasing an update we know that we’ll make a lot of players happy and disappoint others at the same time. Everyone wants their personal wishlist to become a reality and not every update makes it so. We often get asked why we released certain features and why we haven’t released others.
So, we are sorry your favourite feature didn’t make it in the game yet.
How do we decide our development priorities? We try to collect as much feedback as possible and always look at the bigger story. We focus on what the global community is asking. We are always working on multiple things and when something does not get released in an update, it does not mean it’s not being worked on behind the scenes. Naturally there’s also the factor of time and manpower, we have thousands of items on our to-do list and just a couple of things a team of 5 can work on at the same time. However we are looking at ways to expand our development team to get more things done at the same time.
We are working on many things: bug fixes, improved flight behaviour, more environments, more drones, improved multiplayer experience, better visuals, more game modes… more of everything … and more
