Hello,

So far this year we've had the pleasure of celebrating the hedgehog and the zebra, but next week it's National Panda Day - and you know what that means. We'll unlock the Bear character and its Panda skin for everyone on March 16 from 00:01 until 23:59, central european time. Out of all the bears you would most like to meet in a dark alley all on your lonesome, the panda is definitely at the top of the list - at least if you ask me. We love all kinds of bears of course, but the panda is probably the least likely to make a meal out of you since they prefer a diet consisting of bamboo. It is estimated that there are less than 2000 pandas living in the wild today, their numbers having diminished through the years due to habitat loss, hunting - the usual human stuff. It doesn't help that female pandas are only fertile two or three days a year, making birth rates low. Thankfully there are wonderful people in wonderful organizations that has made it their mission to protect these animals, an important factor being the conservation of their natural habitats. We hope to see a lot of pandas running around collecting Essence on March 16! Let's celebrate these amazing animals together.
