THE ‘DEADLY BLESSING’ UPDATE (v1.08)
If you’re browsing the menu, you might see a cool new menu option called “Killer Code”… We’re super sinister, so we’re not even going to tell you what that’s about until the next update! But…. if you’re interested and are worried you might be making spaghetti when we announce it, be sure to sign up to our mailing list at www.slayawaycamp.com — it’s a new feature we’ll be announcing very very soon and I promise you gals and guys will want to be involved from the very start :)

Hey Killers! ːslayawayknifeː
Just wanted to let you know while EVERYONE ELSE was either flipping out or cheering heartily about the voting results of some sort of Electrical College something or other (sounds pretty deadly, but we’ve got a game to make, people), we were hard at work plugging away on cool new updates for Slayaway Camp. Here’s a list of what you can find in the latest version!
UPDATES MADE
- We’ve made it a little easier to grind for extra Skull Coins with a couple very important changes. 1) You now get 10 coins for every kill in Faces of Killed 3. This means if you only kill one victim, you will still get 10 coins. Previously you had to reach tiers, meaning you would only get 50 coins if you reached 5 kills, then only get 50 coins until you reach 10 kills, at which point you’d get 100… etc. Now 1 kill = 10 coins, 2 kills = 20 coins, etc. ALSO if you reach a certain streak of kills you will begin getting double coins (20) for every kill, so it pays to do well! We’ve also optimized some of the Faces of Killed animations so they should be a bit smoother / not affect your accuracy when animating the kill bar. COINS!!!
- You know how sometimes you get stuck on a puzzle but you don’t want to cheat and use the walkthrough for the puzzle, but you also can’t really figure it out so you leave the game and go make spaghetti or something, then you think of the answer to the puzzle because you can’t stop thinking about it? Well now you can just skip the level (using the FFWD button) instead of making spaghetti, and come back to complete the level later. While this does mean you won’t be making spaghetti, it does mean you can continue solving puzzles that might be a little easier and the resulting brain massage might give you new ideas on how to solve the previous puzzle! We made it so you can’t skip “boss” puzzles (the final puzzle in every movie) since those ones are supposed to be hardcore and if you can’t do it it just means you need to TRY HARDER! Or you can always get the hint ;)
- You know how you buy a Gorepack from the shop shelf and it sits there all shiny on your shelf looking cool, but not much else until you actually play a puzzle and hope that random Gorepack comes up? Well now Gorepacks can be previewed from your Gorepack shelf. So you can watch them with your friends over and over until you DIE FROM LAUGHING.
- If you pause the game when playing with a gamepad, you should see nice little gamepad prompt showing you what gamepad buttons control what on-screen options. Its helpful and they go away if you un-pause.
- Menu text now appears highlighted on menus when tooltips are disabled. Minor bug. Was annoying.. now fixed.
- Sometimes you’d be playing a beach level and you’d get a weird alien guy as your bonus kill. It was weird. Aliens should only appear if you’re in space. Now Weird victims no longer appear during bonus kills. It’s not as weird anymore. Though I guess the concept of a bonus kill is a little weird in itself…
- We fixed a few bugs that appeared on the super hardcore NC17 levels. Only the super hardcore players will care about this.
- A handful of minor bug fixes. Only a handful of minor players will care about this.
OH!

PSYCHO SLIDING ACTION
Slayaway Camp is a killer puzzle game in which the player controls Skullface, a psychotic slasher bent on slaughtering all the teen counsellors at the title campground. Depicted in colourful voxel graphics, the adorable murderer slides around isometric puzzle designs decapitating, squashing, and perforating blocky teen victims. It’s a clever logic game that also happens to be a bloody tribute to eighties trash horror.

ABOUT THE CAMP
The mysterious S’lay’a Way tribe (pronunciation: SLAW-ah-weh) once roamed the forests and mountains of this dark region of western Cubetonia. Today their legacy is all but forgotten, and a modern youth camp sits atop their ancient burial site.
But never mind all that. In 1983, on Thursday the 12th, an innocent camp prank went terribly wrong. And now, one year later, the hideously disfigured victim has returned to take his gruesome revenge…
Experience a new dimension of gut-blasting terror as an unspeakable killing force of skull-faced killing maims and kills his way through smart-mouthed, over-sexed, substance-abusing young adults. No teenager is safe… no law enforcement enforces the law enough… and no animals are harmed… in the summer horror blockbuster smash hit of 1984: SLAYAWAY CAMP
