Chapter 2

- When first meeting Lopez, you now have an opportunity to attack the other soldiers if you are suspicious of them. - Reduced the amount of time it takes if you go outside to help Dante when he is being attacked by zombies. - Added a checkpoint at 7 PM.

- When going to save Jaime, if you steal a vehicle, the game now accurately calculates durability and maneuverability.

Spring Patch

Fixed a bug in which the farm plot is not getting accurate food production.
Added more details to the list of Scripted Deaths.
Fixed text and issue with Kelly as an RO.
Some group members were not adding to the calculation for the number of items to scavenge. This has been fixed.
In chapter 11, lowered the difficulty of fighting zombies in the lower level of Lancelot.
Fixed an issue with a character from Part 2 appearing in part 3 even when he's dead.

April Patch

Bug fixes.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) now shows up in the challenges section of the stat menu.
Additional balance changes to morale and allegiance changes between chapters.
Kevin now shows up on the survivor summary task list.
In chapter 12, you can now speak with Tommy at the tavern if he is not in your group and is still alive.

March 21 patch

- Bug fixes, typo and grammar corrections. - Fixed issues with romantic partners being involved with other characters. - It will be more difficult for characters to flirt with you randomly when you are likely not interested in them based on relationship score. - You can now set up multiple water collectors in the junkyard. - Greenhouses and farm plots will generate their yield in the next chapter as opposed to later in Part 3. - You can now set up the infirmary and watchtowers.

Continue your story from part one, or skip right to the new chapters with a new character! With three brand new chapters and another 310,000 words, Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven is now more than than 900,000 in total! That's 32,000 words each time you play Part Two alone, and more than 72,000 for the full game. Given the number of paths from beginning to end, you can have a unique story every time and still never see all there is in Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven!

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven is the first part of a series of thrilling interactive survival-horror novel by Jim Dattilo, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based--without animation or sound effects--and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Customize a character using a variety of professions, backgrounds, special challenges, and skills to survive in a brutal and chaotic city as the Zeta virus spreads. Will you be an honorable soldier, searching through neighborhoods to aid survivors? Or will you be a ruthless bandit who loots and robs others for needed supplies? How about a paranoid hacker, psychopathic con artist, pragmatic scientist, or idealistic teenager? Dozens of options allow you to play the character of your choice.

Set in the Zombie Exodus world, the first part of Safe Haven focuses on the first few days of a viral outbreak which changes the infected into mindless zombies. Explore the changes to society at the start of the pandemic. Board your house, gather supplies, meet over a dozen other characters, and survive encounters with the living dead and even other survivors. Scavenge numerous locations, craft items, and use a variety of skills to survive the many challenges of the apocalypse.

The Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven series will continue with future stories in new locations in the coming years.

Play as male or female, gay, straight, bi, or asexual.
Over 500,000 words long. You’ll read 50,000 words each time you play. Given the number of paths from beginning to end, you’ll want to play numerous times.
Nineteen backgrounds/professions including Soldier, Teenager, Professional Wrestler, Bank Robber, and Doctor. Or create your own custom class.
Choose your skill levels in eighteen different apocalyptic skills such as Stealth, Ranged Weapons, Scavenging, and Survival. Level up your skills after each chapter and choose from hobbies to round out your character.
Select optional challenges for your survivor. Take care of a dependent child or a pet, or deal with a phobia, compulsion, addiction, or affliction.
Meet other survivors each with their own personalities, motivations, desires, and flaws. Even form romantic relationships with those you meet.
